Welcome and thanks for visiting our listing for the “Hooly Hoose Holiday Home” a fully refurbished old cottage lovingly restored by myself over the past 6 years. It is filled with loads of unique quirks and beautiful features to make the time you spend there relaxed, super chilled and as much fun as possible. It stands alone on its own little plot situated on a still working farm on the North East coast. It has a sea view looking over the epic cliffs and coast line of New Aberdour beach and the rest surrounded by beautiful 360 degree rolling hill country side Views. It offers privacy and peace away from the busy world with only the farmer passing occasionally in his tractor or quad. There’s lots to discover in the surrounding area and many things to do nearby, the nearest village being a 5 minute drive away and nearest town only a 10 minute drive from the property. There are so many beautiful beaches, coves and tiny humble harbours in all the local villages just a stones throw away. The house is right next to Pitsligo castle ruins and other castles too. To the left of the property there is the “doo’s doocit” a well known and cherished view point for the local community where many go to have picnics and to view the best sun rises/sets and if your lucky the northern lights too! If you want to be immersed in the Scottish country side and wild life in a private setting look no further, this home away from home gives you exclusive access to an entire house designed to allow you to live as comfortably as possible.

Hooly Hoose is the perfect place to relax, you can..
-Spend your days watching your favourite movies and tv shows with the large smart tv’s in the living room and bedroom.
-Chilling by the log burner on the sofa or on the two giant bean bags and blankets.
-Cooking a lovely meal to enjoy in the stunning new dining room.
-The house has a large selection of classic board games and card decks to keep you entertained. There’s even some books to reed too.
-Enjoy your time outside in the spacious front and back garden with slabbed areas for seating and to enjoy the smokeless fire pit.
-There is a decking/pergola area to the side of the property and it is equipped with a full glass roof, glass balustrade, seating, fairy lights and a Swedish log burning hot-tub. Enjoy your coffee with the views in the morning and create the most magical nights under the stars in the hot tub.

As a self-catering house, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.

The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a freezer, a microwave, toaster, wine cooler and breakfast bar in front of the window where you can enjoy your food and watch the ships and the world pass by.

The utility roon is fully functional with a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, washing baskets, drying rack or an out door hanging line.

There is one bedroom in this house which contains a double bed but also has a sofa bed in the living room which can allow for a party of 4 persons total to stay over.

There is one bathroom, which has a toilet, sink, a walk-in shower and a steam proof mirror.

Linen, towels and bedding are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

IMPORTANT NOTICE- Included in the price is 5x sacks of logs for the hot tub and 1x box of puffins for burning in the log burner inside with unlimited kindling and fire lighters. More of Both fuels are available at cost price, bags of logs at £7 each and puffins at £7.50 per box. (12per box)


House Rules:
- Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 12am.
- Smoking is not allowed. Please smoke outside and dispose of your ends in a responsible way.
- There is on-site parking facilities available at the property. Please park to the right hand side of the drive next to the wire fence so not block the through road. There must be through access 24/7 for farm traffic
- Pets are allowed at the property. We want you and your doggo’s to enjoy the house. We only ask you move any of the ornaments/vases to a safe place or out of the way if you think they may get knocked over. The garden is secure but please make sure your dog is under control at all times (on a lead) as there are farm animals all around the property. Dispose all dog waste in outdoor wheelie bin please.
-If cooking please clean up after yourself :)
