Pitullie is a small hamlet 2 miles from Fraserburgh. It's a quiet and beautiful location to relax, yet still within a easy commute to Fraserburgh town center.
There are several local artists who live in the village and private craft workshops can be organized on request.
There is a small convenience store with a post office about 5 minutes walk from the cottage in sandhaven. Great for last minute groceries or bottle of wine if you don't wish to travel into town
A small fridge freezer is located in the cottage and an additional large fridge feeezer is located in the boathouse along with a dryer, washer and ironing facilities. If you are coming with sports equipment, the boathouse is the perfect location to store it for easy and quick access.
Pew with a view has a bus stop a few meters away which goes into Fraserburgh or Rosehearty. They run every 30 minutes, however, there is a coastal path to both places and it's about a 30 minute walk, either way, directly along the shoreline. Great for bike rides!
A totally unique seafront cottage with its own boat house.
"Pew with a view" is situated in the hamlet of Pitullie in the North east coast of Scotland. The cottage is a renovated fisherman’s cottage dating back to the 1600's and sits 5 metres from the sea. It has direct access to a boat ramp which leads into a small harbour allowing easy access for boats, kayaks, Jet Skis and divers. This site is frequented by diving clubs around North East Scotland and is known as one of the best diving sites in the area. The Boat House situated under the cottage is ideal for storing fishing and water sport equipment. The cottage has floor to ceiling storm-proof windows and is a perfect spot to birdwatch or to enjoy the many dolphins, minky whales and seals which frequently pass by. The cottage has a large decking area and garden with a small natural burn running through it. There is a range of Garden furniture and a fire pit to enjoy the outdoors day or night. Aurora Borealis are common in this area.
I expect guests at pew with a view to respect this quiet and peaceful location and the local residents.
