And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. Abbevile close with great train links to Paris where we spent a great day and Amiens just over an hour drive Was about 1 hour 30 mins drive to visit the world war 1 memorial sites, well worth the drive. "We had such a relaxing stay. The maisonette is so cute, and the nice area around it almost "forces" you to take it very easy and slow. We totally not felt guilty we only did a few trips in the larger Somme area and stayed outside the little house reading and enjoying the quietness and the animals walking by. The hosts are also extremely friendly and helpful and speak English."

Sylvie and Bernard are a friendly couple who looked after all our needs checking everthing was OK and Sylvie baked a wonderful french cake for us to enjoy on our arrival. The property has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. For anyone who is disabled the staircase would be an issue to the upstair bedrooms however everyting else was spot on. For us the location was very good, check in was easy and the only slight issue for us was one of the pans was unclean from I presume a previous customer, the sofa cover could also do with a clean though we had a sheet covering if due to us having our dog with us. "Very well equipped and sizeable property. Lovely garden to relax in on the evenings. Really enjoyed our stay and property is in a good location to explore the surrounding area. Just a couple of things let it down, the sofa covers really need a clean and the bedroom curtains really do need fit better to block out any light. Overall very good value money."

"A spacious very well equipped gite in a rural agricultural region. Several very pleasant nearby towns which have a good selection of shops, cafes, restauants etc. The hosts were very pleasant and respectul and it was a treat to hear owls at night."
