Located at the base of the Cullasaja River Gorge, 5 miles from Franklin, the Rivers Edge Cabin offers easy water access. 10 miles from Highlands, NC. Relax on the open deck to the sound of rushing mountain water or... better yet... jump in! The kitchen is open with a dining table and a bar area. It is outfitted with cookware, utensils, dishes, a coffee maker, a toaster, and more. The cabin is fully stocked with linens, bedding, towels, & blankets. The deck area has plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, gas grill cooking, or just relax by the water. The cabin has Wi-Fi and XM radio. The living area is equipped with a flat-screen TV (with Netflix and other streaming channels you can log into) and a DVD player with an assortment of movies. There are also two enclosed porch areas that are perfect for rainy days. Plus tubes, kayaks, and a fire pit! Experience the beauty of 3 waterfalls..... (Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, the Cullasaja Gorge) just a short distance from the cabin. Hike the many Nantahala Trails such as the Carolina Ridge and Ranger Fall Loop. If you do not have a crate your pet must be able to be left on the screened-in porch. You will be responsible for any damages created by your pet. We do not allow pets on the bedding or the furniture. And we expect you to clean up after your pet inside and out. If you allow your pet to enjoy the Cullasaja River with you, please make sure their paws are clean before going back into the cabin. We have supplied a water hose in case it's needed. We appreciate you following the rules of the River’s Edge Cabin so all our guests can enjoy their stay.

RELAXING!
This precious cabin was a perfect getaway! Situated right on the Cullasaja river, it provided the ideal location for a visit to the mountains! Looking forward to returning!

Amazing cabin on the river
We spent a few days relaxing this fall in this cabin with the sounds of water moving in the river while enjoying the deck and the screened in porch, amazing! We loved everything about this place and hope to return again one day.

Great family get away
We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and perfect for us and 2 kids. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and caught a few trout. We enjoyed playing games at night and built a bon fire. The location was perfect. We were able to visit some nearby waterfalls and drove south to Tallulah falls and Clayton Georgia for a day as well!

Pretty Mountain River Hideaway
This getaway was just what we needed. Absolute privacy in a beautiful setting. Central to all the places we love; The Highlands, Cashiers, etc.

Great stay had lots of fun
We had lots of fun with gem mining and fishing. Got some wonderful food at Cafe REL (only open 4 days a week) so wish we'd gone there sooner. Had fantastic chili cheese dogs and hamburgers at the food truck in Lazy Hiker bar. They also have great potatoe salad.

come up for the week for riding back roads . rained the first few days but nice to relax . cabins in a quite area clean , but still close enough to town. its nice place on the creek. plenty to do and see. enjoyed our trip looking forward coming back in a couple months

So, it was a very cold monday when I got there. Found the baseboard heaters and cabin was comfortable. This spot in the river is mesmerizing. It is an older, rustic cabin but was very comfortable, everything worked, and check-in and out was super easy. I'd definitely stay here again but would love to try it in the summer.

I stayed with my grand daughter. It was an end of summer vacation and to get ready to go back to school. We really liked hearing the running water and playing in it. I would say that if you have a small child you may want to bring a life jacket if you plan to be in the water.

Comfy Cabin
Spent Thanksgiving with husband and daughter at this lovely cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Went horseback riding, spent time at Gold City Gem Mine nearby, and was just down the road from Dry Falls. Franklin nearby for lots of restaurants and shopping. House had everything needed for cooking. It was so very clean and inviting.

Perfect Location on the River
We so enjoyed our stay, perfect location to see waterfalls, drive to Highlands, Cherokee, even Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. We drove down the Dragon's Tail one day. Truly great central location to so much to do. We definitely want to come back in summer & just relax on the river. Jeanette was a wonderful host, even drove over to bring extra towels while recuperating from knee surgery. We loved our stay in such a cute, very clean little cabin.

Perfect cabin on the river
We had the best vacation ever! The cabin is simply precious and the river location is perfect for kayaking, tubing, fishing, and relaxing. We loved sitting on porch overlooking the river. Listening to the river at night was so peaceful. The manager and hosts were amazing and quick to make sure we had everything we needed for a special retreat. Our family can’t wait for a third trip to the cabin on cullasaja!

Perfect!
This little cabin is perfect for a retired couple (or two) or a small family. My husband and I used it as a launching pad for our "down memory lane" day trips in the area. We looked forward to returning at the end of each day to sit on the balcony where we listened to the water flow over the rocks below, enjoyed the breeze, and watched the leaves fall into the water and drift downstream. This little cabin was exceptionally clean and is located in a quiet, safe rural area. A definite plus......The owner lives nearby and came over for a short visit to check on us and to see if we needed anything.
