This hotel is a bit dated but it is conveniently situated with 5 minutes on foot from Frankfurt Central Station and a tram stop right in front of the hotel. So overall it’s a great value and its location is everything.

The hotel property is very nicely kept, clean, and very convenient to the main train station. The single bed room is small but it has all you need for a couple of nights stay. The bedroom and bathroom were updated, clean and had all I needed for a night. I would stay in this hotel again for a night or two given the convenience of how close it is to the train station and how clean and modern it is on the inside. The breakfast is also very decent. As with any other hotel or property in the neighborhood of the main train station, the problem is the rampant and publicly visible drug dealers, drug users, alcoholics, and homeless people that have taken over the streets and sidewalks. There are no problems with this inside the hotels of the area, but it is quite an evident problem once you step out of this or any other hotels in the neighborhood.

Here's a structured review based on your feedback: --- **Review of Mercure Hotel in Frankfurt** I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Frankfurt and had a mixed experience. **Location:** The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, making it easy to get around the city. However, the area around the hotel felt unsafe, with a noticeable presence of addicts and beggars, which was quite unsettling. **Room Quality:** Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms was lacking. The carpets were particularly dirty, which affected the overall comfort of the stay. **Service:** The highlight of my stay was the staff at the reception. They were friendly, professional, and very helpful, which was a silver lining in an otherwise disappointing stay. **Overall Experience:** While the location and staff were positive aspects, the unclean rooms and the unsafe surrounding area significantly detracted from my experience. I hope the management can address these issues for future guests. ---

Sadly not in a great area and not the best hotel.
Hotel is very close to the train station, which, unfortunately has a number of homeless groups and what appears to be prostitution. There are groups of young men around all day and night. The room itself was adequate, far too hot (even for winter) and the only way to cool down is to have the window wide open - which means the noise is unbearable (sirens, loud shouting and laughter etc) - even with the windows shut it’s still quite noisy. There is a kettle in the room but the tea and coffee on offer is not nice. Thankfully there is a McDonald’s and Starbucks at the train station. We were only staying for the weekend so we managed, but we would not stay here (or this area) again. It’s not a 4 star hotel at all. But the price was low so should have been warned.

Location is excellent, just next to train station, tram stop just outside the hotel. Because it's centrally located, it comes with its cons, (a) unwanted elements of the society selling drugs, (b) traffic noise. Hotel is decent, good for few days stopover. Lift is small, it says max 4 person, but you won't take chance with that. Room size was decent, needs a bit of upgradation, specially with carpets. Bed was comfortable, bathroom amenities were great. Mini bar was available at extra cost. Daily housekeeping is available. Water kettle and tea coffee tray in room gives it a big plus.

Front desk personal were not so friendly and warm. Same with the lady in the breakfast area. When we checked in the front desk said parking is free if you're a member, then when we checked out they charged us for parking. Parking is really tight and limited in the basement. Location is conveniently in front of the train station. Its clean for the most part but the carpet smells and is quite old. Breakfast was good actually! Decent place, staff could be friendlier but don't expect much.
