"We had a wonderful stay at Saybrook Point. The staff could not have been warmer or more welcoming. They quickly responded to and addressed a heating issue in the first room we were in and upgraded us to a beautiful room where the heating worked great. We enjoyed the steam room and dry sauna. The hot tub could have been hotter. Gerard was a standout team member. He was friendly and super helpful and made us great fires in our room every night. "Good customer service at check-in. Received a text at 1pm to note that room was clean and we could check in early. Also received a discount voucher to use at their restaurant for my husband’s birthday. Nice touch! The room was beautiful and clean, with all the amenities. The little Chestnut. A charming historic apartment in Downtown Chester

Cozy Cabin Vibe In A Very Welcoming Small Town

"Can't say enough about the whole experience with this problem. The owner was super nice, walked me through the entry process. Was very responsive when I had questions about the property and local items. The Little Chestnut in Chester is an excellent jumping off spot for a lot of activities around the lower Connecticut River area. The town of Chester has a really nice vibe and could spend all the time there. The Little Chestnut is set up for about 4 people. The beds were super comfortable, and had extra blankets for this cool nights. The heater worked great and kept the cabin very warm. The electric fireplace was also very warm and gave an awesome atmosphere without the hassle of an actual fireplace. Hot water heater was plenty big for 3 adults to take a shower and not run out of hot water. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, however with so many great eating places we didn't do any cooking. When we stayed the little bookstore below was open and was a fun visit for the girls. If we could give more stars I certainly would. "

Spacious 5-bedroom, 6 bath vacation home just 5 min drive to Connecticut River

Great friends get away!

"We stayed for our annual Columbus Day weekend away with a group of 9 friends. The house was very comfortable and we had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the game room in the evenings - all the games were in excellent condition and everything was in working order (which has not usually been the case at other vacation rentals we have been to). We were lucky enough to have beatiful fall weather all weekend, so we could enjoy the lovely back yard. We made use of the gas grill, watch a playoff game on the big screen TV behind the outdoor bar, and sat around a roaring fire in the outdoor fireplace at night. We did have an issue with refrigerator, but the host was responsive. It wasn't able to be fixed during our stay, but luckily the house has a 2nd full size refrigerator in the basement. It was a little inconvenient, but we made do and the host was communicative and apologetic. We had a great weekend and hope to go back in the summer so we can use the beautiful pool! "

Spacious East Haddam Retreat w/ Private Pool!

Poor management and dirty

"There was no communication prior to the beginning of the reservation. I tried contacting the management team for check in info but received nothing until 15min after the beginning of our reservation. When we received the check in info it was wrong and the key was no longer where they said it would be. When we finally got into the property there was obviously no cleaning done to it. There were dirty dishes in the sink, the towels and sheets were in the hall, and the floors were sticky. When the cleaning crew finally showed up an hour later they took another hour to finish the work (which I don’t fault them for). The book with the check-in/out information was filled with false information and the phone call was not the owners. The pool outside was dirty, filled with sand, leaves, and a dead mouse. The house was overall disappointing. We paid way too much for a house that wasn’t well maintained and the management was very poor."

Amazing!

"We rented this property for ourselves and family to stay in for my son’s wedding at nearby Smith Farms and Gardens. (Highly recommended for a wedding venu). The hosts were so welcoming, showed us around property and made us feel very comfortable. Everything was pristine, very clean, comfortable, and we were welcomed with a tray of delicious croissants! Property was beautiful, our teens loved the pond that was equipped with everything from paddle boats to paddle boards. They even welcomed our dog. We will be back to stay and we highly recommend!"
