I had booked a 2 bed room online, but after arriving at the property was told the only available room on the ground floor ( no elevator and I wasn’t able to do stairs) was the handicapped room with a single bed. I initially accepted it but was not offered a discount and we all know you pay more for a room with 2 beds. After getting to the room, it was decided it was not acceptable so I returned to the front desk and that I would force my way up the stairs at which point I was directed to a double room with a kitchenette on the first floor at which point I was charged an additional 15.00 which I am still not sure how I feel but overall it was a question that could have been asked upon first checking in to avoid the kerfuffle. When entering the rooms, try they keep them cold, so you enter an icebox until they warm up which takes awhile because it’s an older motel with baseboard heaters. The front desk clerk did remain friendly and hospitable throughout the check in process which I commend her for as I was probably considered the customer from hell but got the feeling she didn’t have the authority to upgrade rooms and such.
