Welcome to Kokomo! In the most sought-after area of Hutchinson Island!!! This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath beach house is 2 blocks from the beach, one street from the inlet, and the legendary Ft. Pierce Jetty. Also, within one block are the hippest beach bars, restaurants, and hangouts in Florida. Eclectic downtown Fort Pierce is just across the bridge, which also hosts the Farmers Market and art/food festival every Saturday from 8 noon.
This is a TRUE beach house, not a duplex, manufactured home, or condo that others advertise as “the whole place.” Enjoy this adorable beach home and its LARGE covered “hang out” deck, and its secluded back yard surrounded by a 6 foot high privacy fence with tropical plants and flowers where you can throw darts, or play "corn hole" in the yard.
Spend the day at the beach, or at the jetty fishing for the big one. Watch the sunset from the swinging benches on the inlet, and then watch the NASA/SpaceX rocket launches from the Jetty at sundown or dance the night away to a reggae band at one of the nearby restaurants. During evening walks on this barrier island, you may encounter VERY large sea turtles laying eggs on the beach at night in their annual migration. Also, the beach side of the jetty is full of manatees throughout the year.
The home features very comfortable Broyhill couches to relax by the indoor electric fireplace or to enjoy movie night with the family on the 55-inch HD TV. There is also a 45-inch HD TV in the master bedroom.
For home entertainment, the home features free high-speed internet with WiFi and the HD TV's offer streaming movies, streaming channels, and 600 satellite channels. Please note: not every channel is on the system, but you are in Florida. There is also a dart board, a corn hole game, and several board games such as Jenga, Monopoly, dominos, traditional playing cards, Uno, and beach toys.
The bedrooms feature gel memory foam mattresses for a good night sleep. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a dedicated workspace desk just off the kitchen. The home has ample parking for two vehicles. There are several restaurants, bars, and gift shops along the causeway and over the bridge into Historic downtown Ft. Pierce. You can also go dolphin watching, rent jet skis, kayaks, bikes, boats, or take a deep-sea fishing trip. There are also several amazing wreck dives for scuba divers and lobster hunters. And YES, eleven ACTUAL treasure ships sank less than 100 yards from the beach, and over 4 million in gold and treasure have been recovered. That is why the area is called the Treasure Coast. The area is well known as a surfing destination (on the north side of the jetty) and a kite surfing mecca (on the south side of the jetty). You can also go horseback riding on the beach or practice your Viking skills at the Hard Axe Lounge, where you can learn to throw axes at indoor targets. There is TRULY something for everyone.
There is a digital lock, and the code is changed every time a guest departs. The new door code is sent to the new guest on the day of arrival prior to check-in. The home is also equipped with a Ring doorbell.

Swim disclosure: The beach is just down the street. Swim at your own risk. This home is not for infants and non-swimmers as there is no lifeguard on duty at the beach. In addition to the beach by the house, there is also an inlet and a jetty. Do NOT attempt to swim in the inlet except at South Causeway Park, which has a fantastic beach for small children with no waves or when there is excessive seaweed on the ocean side of the beach.
Crime free disclosure: Due to the proximity of the property to a park/child congregating area, registered sex offenders are not permitted to occupy the residence. (FL 948.30.b). This home is not available for ANY illegal activity or criminal occupants.
Wildlife and environmental disclosure: Florida beaches have sea turtles as visitors. DO NOT attempt to touch them, come close to them, or interfere with them during any part of the egg laying process. Also, DO NOT touch their eggs. Both are federal and state offenses and are subject to arrest. Observe them from at least a 10 foot distance and DO NOT run, make noise, or aim lights at them while they are laying eggs or coming on the beach.
Do NOT touch the small purple/blue balloon looking sea creatures on the beach if you see one. They are a type of jellyfish, and they sting badly if touched.
Florida has seasons for various types of fish and other sea animals that can be eaten (i.e., crabs, and lobsters). DO NOT take a fish/sea creature out of season. There are severe penalties for this, including arrest in some cases. Download a fish ID app for Florida to identify your catch and make sure it is in season. A fishing license may be required. There are also plenty of local fishing charters.
Manatees and dolphins live in the intercoastal and often visit the beach. If you see one, DO NOT attempt to grab or ride one. If you rent a boat or jet ski DRIVE SUPER SLOW through the areas that have signs that say "Manatee Area" and "No Wake Zone." These are state and federal offenses and carry heavy penalties. Both the Coast Guard, the Sherriff, and the Florida Wildlife Management (FWC) patrol our waters.
Animal/Pet disclosure: This home is in compliance with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the National Institute of Health, and the Center for Disease Control as a dander and endotoxin free home for those with asthma, severe allergies, other similar ailments, and travelling medical/surgical staff at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Therefore, it is exempt from service/comfort animals and can not accommodate pets or smokers because it is outside of the scope of reasonable accommodation. Regarding requests for accommodation of animals: Accommodations after occupancy of animals/ smokers would require a permanently installed high grade HEPA filter, replacement of the full HVAC system, replacement of all duct work, a full carpet replacement, and a full repaint of the residence interior, and a full replacement of the mattresses and soft furniture to remain offered as a National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences/NHI/CDC compliant home. Therefore, granting animal requests would impose an undue financial and administrative burden on the housing provider. The request would fundamentally alter the essential nature of the housing provider's operations. The assistance animal would pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others despite any other reasonable accommodations that could eliminate or reduce the threat.
Okay, now go have FUN !!!!
