Lakefront Cottage Near Forest & Cities with canoes, grill, and more!

Totally charming and well-maintained, this cozy cottage is in a wonderful lakefront setting with 300 feet of shoreline outside your door. With a substantial dock, clean beach, and a concrete boat ramp, you can enjoy this spring-fed natural lake.

The cottage's interior boasts hand-finished tongue and groove pine paneling, and every room has a view of Miles Kale Lake!! A breezy screened porch overlooks this special place as well. This sand-bottom lake is clean and wonderful for fishing, swimming, and boating. Our whole family learned to ski here.

Exactly half-way between Ocala and Gainesville, you can be in either city or Palatka in 30 minutes for dining, shopping, entertainment, cultural events, or health care. Or, drive 55 minutes to Daytona Beach, or less than 2 hours to Disney attractions. This serene setting is for those who like to be close to nature with the advantages of cities nearby.

Fantastic winter haven from the frigid north!! Wonderful Central Florida retreat for retired couples or family who are sick of go-go attractions.

Centrally located: this wonderful lake home is centrally located between Ocala, Gainesville, and Palatka, Florida. it is one mile from the intersection of Marion County Roads 318 and 315.

Family Vacation
The two homes were very nice and the lake was enjoyable. The grandkids enjoyed swimming, boating & fishing while the adults could sit back and enjoy.

It's a great place! The cabin has everything, so many windows, so much peace and quiet. We didn't want to leave! Hopefully we can make it a yearly trip!

We rented both homes as a small wedding venue. The online photos do not do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful, the 2 cabins were great for a bride’s cabin and a groom’s cabin. Both cabins were very clean and well stocked. Will be delighted to rent again for a family getaway!

Peace and quiet...
We loved the little brown cabin on the lake. We were looking for a getaway, and we found it. It was clean, peaceful, quiet and all we needed to relax. We loved canoeing on the lake and just sitting on the dock. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Beautiful Retreat
We had a such a peaceful Thanksgiving stay. Awesome view from every window on the lake side of this great little cabin. From everything we needed in the kitchen to the canoes to cruise around the lake were perfect! I can't express how grateful we are to be able to bring our dogs along, they loved it too! Definitely will be back. Thanks Mr Ed Wynne for a perfect relaxing holiday.

Very enjoyable and peaceful. Remi enjoyed trying to eat the lilypads while we canoed. Enjoyed scary movies, and playing card games. Loved the photos I took. Beautiful area. Plan a return trip.

Space to breathe and unwind
We stayed at this cabin for two nights after the end of the semester to do some kayaking in the forest. It was just perfect! The porch and the dock gave us lovely perspectives on the lake. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed and very clean.

Comfy, Cozy and Relaxing.
My Husband and I love this cabin. We stayed in 2013 for 6days and again recently in July for 3 days. This will forever be our relaxing vacation spot. Next time we definitely need to stay a little longer. We went grocery shopping and didn't leave the entire time. The cabin is clean and has everything you need. We took our boxer and he loved it. Highly recommend staying here.

Secret gem of a location
The pictures of the lake do not capture the magical and serene feeling of being at this cabin. So very romantic and quiet, surrounded by natural beauty. Had a little issue with the new internet box being installed right before we arrived but the host was easy to get in touch with. We will definitely be booking this again in the near future!!! A disconnect away!
Charming Brown Cabin beautiful view of the lake, serenity at its best. Time to unwind from all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My finance caught his biggest fish yet at this lake. Build a fire at the pit and roast some marshmallows, grill and relax. Such a wonderful weekend!

Your own personal nature preserve
I almost don’t want to review this property because I love it so much. It’s so peaceful and QUIET out there. The water is clear, my husband loves it, the grands love it, & my dog loves it. The house is clean, the yard is kept. The only negative is the beds are hard and the living room furniture is not the same as pictured and isn’t very comfortable, but we’re outside the majority of the time anyway. We’ve already booked another week.

Perfect, serene and clean
A great little cabin. We had a fabulous time. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had everything you needed. The fenced in property was great for our dogs. It was so nice to see them run free and play in the lake. They had a blast. The only downside were the occasional deer flies and wi-fi which didn't really work. It was like dial up. Not a big deal. We would definately go back. So nice to get away from the hustle and bussel of everyday. The owner was very nice and helpful as well, responding promptly to my emails and questions. Thank you Mr. Wynne!
