The end
Ive stayed here several times and i am sad to hear that this hotel will be closing to become a four seasons. I guess this is the end of affordable beach accomodations. The last night i was there was the closing of their pool side bar. they went out with a bang though with live band and cheap drinks. I wish they could have just put money into fixing the property up instead of selling

Cockroaches, dirty, no towels or washcloths, chair falling apart, door didn't close right, this place is going to be torn down they don't care we reserved 3 nights and didn't even have to fight much to get 2 nights refunded so we could leave they know it's junk. Loud next to a bar... Pool open all night long...

Find somewhere else to stay!!!!
Both Front desk ladies were rude, the one that checked us in and the on that checked us out. The place is old dirty and destroyed. We wanted to stay in front of the ocean and this seemed like a great deal but it was horrible. Sheets were not changed. The whole thing looked like if it were infested with bugs and there were things broken and full of mildew. We only stayed there one night and had to leave look for a new place the next morning when the rain stopped. Dont stay here!!!

Worse Hotel Ever!! don't stay there
This was the worst hotel ever, we had to switch rooms 3times and still was not satisfied. 1st room rooms were dirty beds unmade & used condoms on bed and garbage ever were. 2nd room dirty had no kitchen as I requested, 3rd room the beds were made but had male ejaculation in shower. They provided no towels and lound noise from construction next door, the only good part was the free drinks they provided to take your mind off the nasty place and walking distance to beach. Roaches everywhere please beware

Tropical horror hotel
The clerk was not there 24 hours is a lieX they placed us in a filthy room w broken windows doors and showers (not to mention the mold and the stains) they had to move us to another room which we had to wait an hour for the other clerk to come clock in. the clerk who was in a rush to leave didn't explain where parking was or where the room was and the other room we got moved to had a broke down door w footsteps all over like someone broke down the door and broken beds and basically a puddle of water where the AC was. Bad place to stay, it's getting demolished so they are trying to get the most money out before it does by renting rooms and not maintaining the facility. Also the pool is tiny even though is open late. Great location though

Tropic cat resort needs improvements
Booked 2 nights. Hotel attendant was missing at time of check in. Waited about 15 minutes for him to arrive. Limited supply of towels and ice were offered. Public bathrooms are kept locked until noon everyday. Room bathrooms are grungy, old and outdated. Best thing of all was the location. Hotel needs improvements. I would not recommend.

Front desk gentleman who checked us in was careless (disinterested) in providing customer service / Welcome drink were mention by Hotels.com as part of booking and we had to request it from the gentleman / Be Aware to check you CC statement whenever the CC is authorized for incidentals as mine was and charges posted instead of been returned. Overall this is a place for young solitaires or college graduates on vacation.

Awful stay! I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Room was dirty, floor tiles stained and dirty, sheets disgusting, bathroom ew! Couldn't even sit on toilet just yellow and not maintained took a shower with my sandals on. Actually I didn't take off my sandals at all. Phone didn't work, wifi was in and out. It was very hard to shut the door, the lock was useless. Asked for towels they were paper thin. Staff was not helpful. Only good thing is location. But I was embarrassed to tell people where I was staying. Definitely needs some TLC

it's slated for demolition - for a reason!
This hotel and the dump that is its sister property are due for demolition for new high rise condo's and sit right next to the magnificent W hotel. The neighborhood is right on the beach. No complaints there, but this place is so awful that even the "working girls" can find a better room for less money than this horror. There is absolutely nothing good except it's on the beach. Stay away even if they paid you!

The Worst building ( Not a Hotel)
In two short words, this building is not even for pets, and you can't call it a hotel and I would complain this to Expedia directly because they shouldn't ever sell such rooms or places on their website, they should clean all the lists in their website to remove such place because its not even a hotel !!!

Tropic DeCay Resort Terror
All I can say is that the deposit is to high for this piece of hotel. Location is great but the rooms are super out dated. It was the worst hotel I had ever stayed in. The construction next door is loud as all get out. I won't recommend anyone to stay here. NO WAY!! Stay away from here. P.s. they don't believe in towels in the rooms and the doors were nasty. You also have to pay $10 to park.

This hotel was the worst place I could of booked. We checked in and out at thw same time. The pictures online are about 20 years old. The place is a dump and not safe. If you are taking ur family there I don't recommend this hotel.

Was Not Disturbed
Had no room service that was due to me having the only key to the room. Asked and received towels when needed. Kept the room fairly cleaned and was not a real problem. The fact that the place is being demolished in June adds to the reasoning for not being interested in what happens with the rooms and those staying there.
