We stayed here before and after a cruise. We waited at the airport for 2 hours for their shuttle. They were terribly understaffed for cruise season. We booked 3 people in our room. There was no bedding for the pullout and only 2 towels. I waited for 30 minutes at the front desk to get the bedding. The room was extremely noisy. We were privy to many conversations in the hallway. The room was fairly clean, but the common areas were not clean and in disrepair. The elevator was extremely slow and the stairs were outside. Local restaurants are a 15 minute walk, however sidewalks are sketchy and it doesn't feel safe after dark. The luggage storage area was in a locked conference room, however when we went to retrieve our luggage, there was a random individual loitering in the locked room. The free airport shuttle does not start service before 7 am. We had to hire another way to get to the airport.

The property is very dated, needs refurbishing. We stayed two nights before our cruise, and one night after. The room the staff sent us was not the one on our receipt, and was neither assessable or cleaned. We finally got that remedied. There our limited options for eating near the hotel. Had planned to stay again in March, but will book somewhere else.

It was a very central place with easy access for those renting a car. We went to Palm beach one day and south beach the next. It would have been nice to have a safe as we were pre cruise with money and passports.

The only negative we experienced was their hotel shuttle never showed up at the airport pickup. We tried calling the property, but our calls were never answered. After standing in the rain for 45 minutes, we finally called an Uber.

Booked this hotel partly b/c it has shuttle service to airport. Yeah - not before 7 am, nor is breakfast so we experienced neither! 275 USD is overpriced for a stay here. That's over 400 CDN which gets a luxury suite in Vancouver. This place is not soundproof aka you can hear entire conversations from the room next to yours. It's tired and worn and La Quinta is making good money here with cruisers, enough to spruce it up a little. On a positive note, staff is very kind and efficient, and the beds are comfy. Restaurants are within walking distance.

We reserved a night at La Quinta Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport night before our cruise, and it turned into a complete nightmare. The shuttle service was unreliable—despite calling the hotel for pickup instructions upon landing, we waited over an hour and a half, even though we were told it would be just 15 minutes. We had trouble getting anyone on the phone, and after calling corporate, the shuttle finally showed up, but by then, it was too late. Two other families were also stranded waiting at the airport. When we checked in, we found out two of the three families had been assigned the same room by the front desk at check in, causing confusion and frustration. One family had to return to the front desk for a new room. Things got worse around midnight when we were suddenly woken up by someone trying to enter our room. They were repeatedly swiping their key card, and when we answered the door, they said the front desk had assigned them our room. In the morning, the front desk informed us that their system showed a different room than the one we were actually assigned the night before. The hotel was also dated, with a musty odor in the hallways. Between the unreliable shuttle, room mix-ups, noise disturbances, and poor service, this was a highly frustrating experience. We left feeling disappointed and will likely avoid Wyndham hotels in the future. This hotel is not recommended for anyone seeking a restful stay after long travel or a cruise.

Room and bed were comfortable, but there are management problems. We stayed here twice, before and after our cruise. Both times there were problems with the keys. If you are there for more than one night, they do not do any kind of cleaning in between the nights. The main problem is the shuttle service. We were told that the shuttle ran every hour on the hour. We waited over an hour at the airport for the shuttle, and finally took a taxi. During that hour, we called six times and were put on hold each time. When we got to the hotel, they told us that they only do airport pickup if you call them, but this is a problem because they don't answer the phone. (They did give us a credit on our bill to cover the cost of the taxi.) The breakfast buffet is not good. The eggs and the sausage were inedible. When my husband asked about ketchup, one of the staff got out her own bottle of ketchup (which she keeps on hand) for him to use. We ended up spending the afternoon in the hotel lobby because we had a late flight out, and the staff was very accommodating about allowing us to do that and storing our bags. Taking the shuttle back to the airport was not a problem.
