"This historic hotel is a jewel. The rooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable, and quaint. I would definitely suggest it to others headed to the McDonald Observatory or to Big Bend. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful about the area."

Nice place to stay
"Nice clean hotel right in the main area of tiny, little Fort Davis. We got a code emailed the night before to let ourselves in. Places to eat were right next door or across the road. Note that they all close at 8 or 9PM. Super easy drive from the hotel to the state park, national park and observatory. ..."

I loved the area. It's very beautiful. I like the remoteness of it. It's so quiet and it's great to really feel like I had "gotten away" for a while. I will love to go back.
