When we arrived, Myra came out and informed us the spa was not working. We had booked for three nights. On the first night, the aroma of marijuana was coming through the bathroom. The stairs had a pungent odor of wet dogs every time you entered the rental. A used sponge was left for use on the sink counter. The owner had their lawn mowed on the second day of our stay, and the cart holding the equipment blocked our exit, causing us to maneuver around it to get out. I emailed Mrya to request a partial refund, and her response was, “Rosie, I did respond directly to VRBO. I don't deal with scammers.”
I called VRBO customer service four times over seven days to resolve these issues, and the VRBO representatives confirmed they had not received a response from Myra. The VRBO representatives were cordial and professional in all my dealings with them. Abdul, who assisted me the last time to try to resolve this issue (6/20/24), tried several times to call Myra and did not get a response. I attempted to resolve this quietly, but unfortunately, I was called a scammer.
