Beatiful and peaceful villa with amazing views into the mountains

Lovely tradicional Stone house located in a peaceful villa with amazing views into the Tramuntana mountains( World Heritage) .The house has a combined living room/ dining room with open chimney in the ground floor. Next to this area is the fully-equipped kitchen( dish-washer, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, hob...) and a bathroom with shower. In the first floor there is another bathroom with shower/tub and two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed(150x190) and the other one has two single beds (90x190). The house has wifi, SAT TV in the ground floor and spanish TV in one of the bedrooms, air conditioning warm/cold in the ground and first floor. The house is suitable also in the winter months. All the rooms in the house offer beautiful views into the mountains. The villa has many areas to relax surrounded by lemon, orange and centenary olive trees .
It´s a pleasure to pick the oranges and lemons from the trees and drink a freshly squeezed juice while contemplating the Tramuntana landscape `close to heaven´. The villa has a terrace with sunbeds, many sitting areas for eating , covered terrace, barbecue area.... It is 10 minutes walking to the square village. The town of Fornalutx has won several awards for being one of the most beatiful towns in spain. Only 5 minutes driving to the lively and historic Sóller town and 10 minutes driving to the nice beach of Puerto de Sóller.

Villa above Fornalutx
Rosa was a gracious host. Communication was great. Super helpful when I asked questions. The villa was spotless. The owner even gave us a bottle wine, water and huge bowl of oranges and lemons. The driveway up to the house is very steep. But that’s typical of the area. Get a small car and pack light. We shopped in Palma before we got to the house. That said, the grocery store in town was well stocked that we did not need to do that. We lived our stay and would love to return to Mallorca some day.

Lovely peaceful retreat in the countryside with a good bakery/ coffee shop ten minutes away (and twenty minutes back- uphill 😊. Lovely views and sunset on the mountains.

Lovely villa with spectacular views. We enjoyed the walk into fornalutx where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. We walked from the villa quite a few times on some beautiful walks, not needing to use the car very often.

Away from the rat race in a peaceful mountain location. Close to good restaurants, coffee shops and supermarket in Fornalutx, Soller and Port Soller. Well located to visit all the regional highlights. Our host was wonderful in accommodating a very late 2 am arrival after a cancelled flight, and then a delayed flight. I will visit again!

Peace and Tranquility in the mountains
Our 3rd stay in Fornalutx but the first time in this property. Spectacular views, enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the bird life. You would never tire of waking up to the view in a morning. Rosa was the perfect host, easy handover and responded to any questions. 15 minute walk down to the village and a good choice of bars and restaurants. The house had everything you need, tastefully decorated and very clean. Would recommend Fornalutx as a destination and Rosa as your host.

A little slice of heaven
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house this fall. Waking up each day and seeing the beautiful view and greeting the sheep who wandered by made all of our stress and worries slip away. It was a cozy home base for us as we explored the island. We really enjoyed the village of Fornalutx, which seems to be filled with friendly and nice people. Communication with Rosa was easy, and she gave us thorough directions and information before we got there. My only suggestion would be to make sure you rent a small car, as the driveway is a challenge. But we eventually got fairly good at it. I hope we are able to stay here again!

We had a great time here, the house was very comfortable and we loved eating outside under the orange trees. Fresh oranges for breakfast were delicious. Stunning views from the property. It was only a short (but very steep) walk into the village. Highly recommended.

The house was in a fabulous location in the foothills just outside the picturesque villa of Fornatlux very quiet and private with just an odd walker passing bye. Stunning views from a lovely patio/ garden. The drive upto the house requires care as it is twisty and narrow in parts and has a tight turning area/ parking space which you get use to after a few goes

Lovely quiet location with wonderful views. Rosa was extremely helpful with everything. House was very clean with good facilities. Beach at Soller only 15 minutes by car. Village of Fornalux 15 minute walk, although it does take longer on the way back as it’s all up hill. Drive way up to the house is fairly long, narrow and steep so a small rental car is advisable. We loved staying in Rosa’s house and will hopefully return very soon as there is nothing like picking fresh oranges from the garden to drink whilst admiring the fantastic view. Thank you Rosa for a wonderful stay.

If you want a quiet time in a lovely place in the mountains of Mallorca this is perfect
The Villa is beautifully maintained and well equipped . We were especially grateful to have such a good kitchen with easy access to a lovely outside eating area . Even though we were here at Xmas and it was cold, we ate outside every day ! This was a big plus for us . It is great to just be able to step out of the door and go for beautiful walks. Rosa is the best possible host . Very kind and immediately responds when any help was needed. We will be returning !

A hate to spread the news but it's a wonderful place.
Totally enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place --we were able to buy our groceries in town and cook for ourselves. The only (tiny) problem that I am sure our wonderful hostess Rosa will fix, is that the coffee maker didn't work. Other than that, terrific.

Amazing stay
Rosa was the perfect host, house was spotless and absolutely beautiful and comfortable, in a very quiet neighborhood. Beds were really comfy, kitchen is packed with all utensils. We had a large sedan which was a bit too large for the driveway but it all worked fine. The drive up to the house is a windy road so prepare for the journey, but overall very good experience at the house.

The perfect little country house
We absolutely loved this property. Situated on the hillside above the charming village of Fornalutx, it is the perfect place for a social distancing holiday. The only neighbors are the sheep grazing on the hillside, the only sounds you hear are their bells. Yet the village is just a ten minute walk down some cute old steps, and the beach at Port de Soller is a ten minute drive. The house is not large but adequate size for 4 guests, is well equipped and charming and has a huge terrace with amazing views of the valley. It is surrounded by orange and lemon trees and we loved picking a fresh orange for breakfast. Rosa is a wonderful host. She answered our questions before we arrived and helped us when we needed information once there. We had a wonderful week in Fornalutx, and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to escape the ordinary and instead of a large resort town, choose the charm of staying in the mountains.

Perfect house for a memorable stay
We had a delightful stay in Rosa's villa. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen equipped with all we needed to prepare meals at home, the overhead air conditioners/heaters kept the house warm, and the large terrace was very pleasant for outdoor meals and enjoying the magnificent views of the mountains. For part of our stay our twin two-year-old granddaughters and our daughter were with us, and the house comfortably accommodated us. The children loved running and playing on the spacious terrace. The location of the villa was perfect for us. It is in a spectacularly scenic setting and surrounded by lovely olive groves and orange groves with a few sheep, a miniature horse, and a donkey as our only neighbors. There are lots of trails within a few minutes' drive of the house and we enjoyed hiking through beautiful countryside on stone paths, some of which dated back to Roman times. The toddlers loved the walk down to Fornalutx and back on the trail by the house, and walking up the trail in the other direction through the olive groves Fornalutx is a charming village with stone-paved streets winding down to a clear river. It has the best bakery we found anywhere on the island! Rosa was a very responsive host and her parents were kind in meeting us and showing us the way to the villa. All in all, the perfect house for a memorable stay in one of the most beautiful parts of the island.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in Fornalutx very much. As it was our first visit to Mallorca the location of the house was ideal for exploring the mountains. During our stay we drove over 1,400 kms and the scenery was breathtaking and reminded us of Cosica which we know very well. All in all we had an enjoyable holiday and will return in the future.

Lovely location for our mountain-biking holiday
The villa is just outside the exceedingly pretty village of Fornalutx. We were there in January and it took a couple of days to get the place warm. Thankfully there are air-conditioning units in all the rooms. Most of the restaurants were closed in the village but there is a well stocked Spar and lovely patisserie to buy food and delicious local wines. Rosa thoughtfully left salt and some spices and the kitchen is well equipped. We ate out at C'Antuna which I can thoroughly recommend Lots of great walking and cycling trails start close by and the roads are lovely and quiet for drives to other parts of the island. Because of the bikes we hired a mini van so it was tight getting up the drive (and through the narrow street of the old towns) but we managed to return it scratch free!

Super nice stay
We stayed for a week during family holidays with an infant and had a wonderful vacation. The house is set back from the road on the side of a hill. The surroundings are beautiful and very quiet with plenty of orange and lemon trees around and even sheep that come to wander nearby, giving it a very countryside feel. The house itself is very pretty and especially very, very well equipped. Rosa has thought of everything. The village below is very charming and peaceful, which is a nice change from some of the more crowded parts of the island. Just be careful not to have a car that's too big, as the private road leading to the house is quite narrow.
