The room is in major need of upgrades. The bed was awfully springy and uncomfortable. We could hear every noise above us all night and early in the morning, so sleeping was hard. The hairdryer didn’t work. The stairs leading down to the beach are broken and dangerous. The restaurant was already out of much of the menu less than hour after opening for dinner. Someone on Instagram told me to DM them privately, which I did, because I didn’t want to air my grievances publicly in the comment section. Nobody ever even answered.

To be honest, the Kalaloch beach didn't impress me as much as the Rialto Beach or Ruby Beach, but the lodge is way beyond my expectation. The lodge consistes of independent cabins made of woods, and the cabin we got has two beds and has enough space for the whole family. The room is spacious and clean, and it has a kitchen with a whole set of cookware and condiments so you are free to cook. The bathroom is a little small, but the water is still warm enough for you to have a good shower. Each cabin has a parking space in front (or at side) of the cabin. Once you park your car, you are within minutes of walk to the ocean view, as the lodge locates on the cliff facing the ocean (I'm not sure whether you can walk down to the beach since the end of stair towards the beach seems to be blocked and I don't see anyone on the beach). The food in the dinning hall is also good enough if you don't want to cook. We ordered a fish and chip and it was nice and not so expensive. So if you plan to drive around the whole Olympic national park and don't want to camp, Kalaloch Lodge is totally a choice on the shore side of the park.

We were there during a big storm and power outage, so not the best of conditions. That being said, the staff were great, gave us an LED lantern for the cabin and some firewood and fire starter. They also kept the kitchen open on a generator.

We loved our cabin! It had an awesome view of the ocean! Saturday we came back to a fresh bundle of firewood, so we had a cozy fire! Had to open the window a bit because it was so cozy. Only small complaint was that there was no soap or shower gel in the bathroom. Thankfully I had brought a small bar of soap. The heater seemed to have a wiring problem because it kept cycling off and on every few seconds. It did the job of keeping us warm, though. We really had a wonderful time! We appreciated having a kitchenette for our second night to cook in our room. Thank you so much!! This was a bucket list item from when I would hear commercials about Kalaloch when I was a little girl! Dream made true!!! It is well with my soul!

Classic accommodations on the wild Olympic coast. Cabins perched on a bluff right above the beach. Taking-in the sunset over the Pacific from Adirondack chairs just in front of our cabin. Well-equipped kitchenette. No TV, no internet, limited phone service -- just pounding surf and wind -- perfect escape!

The cabins at Kalaloch Lodge are cozy and well-kept, with all the basics for simple cooking. This time, we were in #21, which had a wonderful ocean view! One of the best parts of our visit, tho, was the food at the lodge restaurant, and the service by our waiter, Sergei!

Property was as advertised from the outside but much nicer on the inside! We were in a cabin facing the ocean which was so cute on the inside. Tiny but sweet kitchen with everything we needed. The wood burning metal fire place came with wood for a night. Beds were comfy. Little mercantile on the property was quite handy. Restaurant was mediocre but easy. Overall a much nicer stay than expected.

Loved staying here!! Beautiful beach you can walk down to and minutes away from from some awesome sights. The cabins were so cozy and spacious. The wood stove was perfect for chilly evening. Nice to have a kitchen but also a dining option on site. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our very short stay. Wish it had been longer. Cabin was clean had the basic necessities to make a quick breakfast. And very easy access to the beach. About 20 steps. The easy access to the beach is the best part!! Food options are limited. There is only one restaurant. And about 45 mins to hoh rainforest. We will definitely be back!

Everything was awesome. Maybe a check for repairs on the steps that go down to the beach. My husband slipped when the old wood from the step broke.
