70's Vibes on a Wilderness Lake
**Please read THIS IS NOT A NORMAL LISTING**
9Mile adventures offers this immersive getaway. Just outside sleepy Forks our OFF-GRID camp sits on Lake Wentworth, boasting 1700 feet of PRIVATE, remote waterfront the ONLY parcel in its parts. Our vintage glamper allows you to unplug without want. Base price inc. guide car in/out (essential),Wood fired H.TUBS, Water Toy,Treehouse bathroom! +Outdoor Kitchen fit for a foodie. Setting is perfect for those that want an authentic experience rather then just a place to sleep while touring the Oly.Penn.
Come enjoy 9Mile Adventures newest Off-Grid edition our 'glamper' lovingly named SCOTCH 'N SODA. A 1973 classic tow behind just like grandpa pulled with his Cadillac. Step inside/back with most of the interior in its original finish. Main salon settee folds into a Full, Dinette makes into a XL twin and upper bunk another twin (100 lbs weight limit perfect for a kiddo or petite adult). Efficient compact kitchen with gravity fed sink. All beds made with down comforters and cozy bedding.
BATH: You saw it correctly a slippertub draining into an old growth stump! dreamy huh? toilet is conventional but has a hybrid flush system.
All water other than the Berkey in the kitchen is NONPOTABLE. Please keep in mind 9Mile Adventures-Wentworth is off grid and depending on the time of year all water is either HAND CARRIED or comes from the sky. Being situated smack dab in a rainforest this is usually not a problem that being said know we are fine with nature squats instead of the occasional flush and lake bathing in lieu of the odd shower- do so at your discretion. really its just you and the birds.
Guests will have full access to the outdoor camp kitchen, Fire heated soaking tubs and bathroom facilities as well as rec equipment and listed camp amenities.
CHARCOAL FIRED, RAINWATER TUBS
Hot soaks do need to be arranged in advance, preferably when booking. We sanitize, clean + refill between guests. Since the tub heat is powered by fire (and not a constant /electric) Advance notice allows us to fire it up and have it up to temperature for you when you're ready...after a days hike, that paddle around the lake or say sunrise with your coffee. You tell us and we'll stoke that fire and make it happen. $150 surcharge for HOT soak which goes towards heating /cleaning/stoking + maintenance
OUTDOOR KITCHEN: 12x14 foot covered shelter with ample prep space. No fossil fuels so no fridge but personal coolers can be made available upon request or extra if you caught your limit on the lake! A camp stove with compact oven, a two burner cooktop-both propane fueled as well as a gas fired BBQ and or open fire are your cooking options. dishwashing sink with nonpotable water runs via gravity fed system -please conserve water. Pots, pans, dishes, silverware as well as basic spices, oil and cooking implements all at your disposal. Berkey water filtration system for drinking. Pack it in Pack it out and yes you still have to do your dishes. If your plan is to "dine in town' plan then to spend your day in the car OR eat candy OR book a meal plan and we'll take care of everything even the dishes!
BACKCOUNTRY FULL MEAL PLAN: $150 p.p.p.d.
This includes breakfast lunch and dinner as well as snacks, apps and bevies.
BACKCOUNTRY PARTIAL MEAL PLAN: $90 p.p.p.d.
One main meal, heavy snacks, Beveridge's and appetizer hour.
Meals are served family style in the communal dining area. Our backcountry chef and kitchen is capable of preparing delicious meals and happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Expect meals to be a step up from campn' food (unless that's your jive). If not locally sourced then we try to be sustainable or depending on the time of year straight from our other job a farm! Cooks are certified with food handling permits and follow all backcountry cooking protocols. We do like to host a complimentary cocktail hour around the fire otherwise its byobooze as we do not have a liquor license etc.
ACTIVITIES
*DAY ON THE LAKE: $75 starting p.p 2-4 hours. Custom lake tour tailored to your interests. Tutorial on kayaking, paddle boarding, the fishing hole, or swimming you name it we'll try to accommodate.
*ANCIENT RIVER HIKE: $400 (1-2 people) $600 (3-4 people) add 2 hrs guided fishing on the river for sea-run cutthroat trout $100 p.p. Wander through a rare and remote old growth forest on our own secret trails along the Dickey river to an amazing swimming hole that during the warmest part of the day the sun shines perfectly down the valley into the swimming hole with a sandy beach bordered by giant moss covered trees older than America itself. Not for the faint of heart, this experience takes us through dense forest and steep river terrain, for those looking for a totally private and unique hiking experience you have found your deal! pic nic blanket lunch spread on banks of the river included. 4-6 hours approx. 3 miles hike roundtrip
*SURF PERCH CEVICHE +BOOGIE BOARDS: $600(1-2 people) $800(3-4 people) 6-8hrs.
One of the best features of the area is the mighty Pacific Ocean. Spend a full day on the beach at La Push, a popular beach and surfing destination. We will provide transportation to and from, we start with light spinning gear surfperch fishing from the beach, we provide all gear including waders, lifejacket and all fishing gear to target a much overlooked quality sustainable and super tasty sport fishery of Redtail Surfperch so we can get the fresh ceviche started! Continue fishing, relax on the beach, or play in the surf with one of our boogie boards or other available beach activities. Mexican inspired Ceviche lunch provided, just spend the day enjoying the beach.
All toys and rec equipment are available as well for guests. Kayaks, dinghies, paddleboards, various swim toys and floaties, swings hammocks, slack line, safety gear docks and swim platform. (life jackets supplied if needed and required)
IMPORTANT: The 20 acre property is SHARED with one other traditional style campsite as well as us the hosts. All spaces are nicely separated and have their own outdoor spaces however they do SHARE the outdoor kitchen and bath commonly. The outfitter tent(this listing) enjoys the most private setting on the property but know there is a chance you may be communally cooking, eating, swimming, playing fetch etc. with others. Rethink if needed and book accordingly.
This includes breakfast lunch and dinner as well as snacks, apps and bevies.

if bugs make you fidget, the quiet makes you nervous and you can't roll with occasionally unforecasted wind/fog/rain this may not be your cup of tea, and thats ok!. Be honest with yourself, does this experience sound intriguing or terrifying? if the latter please rethink before booking.
Please understand that the camp is undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible. The entire property is use at you and any of your guests own risk, and similar to other tour companies we do ask that you sign a waiver/release acknowledging this.
What we truly hope, what our vision from the beginning has been is that all our guests enjoy a unique, peaceful, handcrafted experience that brings each individual that much closer to our planet, respecting her maybe just a little bit more. 9 Mile adventures hopes to provide you with a moment or more of tranquility and a fulfilling escape from society. Feel free to hug the trees.
