You'll be centrally located within a 15 minute drive of world class wineries and restaurants, adorable small towns like Guerneville and Healdsburg, and easy access to river beaches and redwood forests. While in a peacefully rural part of Sonoma, you're also a short walk from a grocery/deli, the riverfront, and a Michelin Star restaurant.

Tap into a decade's worth of Sonoma County knowledge about wine, food, and adventures. The house Guest Guide contains a wealth of insider secrets for the best wineries to visit (for every type of wine drinker), can't-miss restaurants, key local access points to the river, and off-the-path excursions that are well worth taking.

✻ A COMFORTABLE PLACE TO BE ✻
The open and airy main room makes for a welcome place to return after a day of wine tasting or relaxing on the river. Our TV is connected to cable, Netflix, commercial-free YouTube, and a DVD player. You can also connect to our audio setup via bluetooth.

The full kitchen is stocked and ready for a chef, barista, or sommelier. A full espresso machine and pour-over coffee/tea setup (alongside a Mr. Coffee) is available for use, with instructions for the caffeine-curious.

The three bedrooms feature premium memory-foam + coil mattresses (a king bed and 2 queens), and room darkening drapes. That and the quiet darkness of the countryside neighborhood will help ensure a deep sleep.

The large back deck offers sun chairs, a propane grill, and a panoramic view into the forest. The garage hosts a game room with ping pong and darts. The driveway fits two cars, with room for a third on the street.

This is a self-serve stay. We are off-site hosts; there is no front desk or office, and we provide contactless self-check-in. We have a dedicated hospitality phone line in case of emergencies (24/7) and our team is available on call, text, or chat during 5 am - 1 am to help assist you during your stay!

## Neighborhood

Mirabel Heights is a little community on the river with a small town feel. You'll see lots of our neighbors taking an afternoon stroll or walking their dog, and they're quite friendly. Feel free to say hi!

Speer's Market is a 5 minute walk away, and has everything you need, including a small deli.

Cute three bedroom house with a great deck view. Close to great restaurants and for floating down the river. Great wineries near by to enjoy sips of wine and small plates.

Excellent location new amenities in Forrestville.
If you are looking for a central location to Russian River Valley this is it. 10 minutes or less to many amazing wineries and restaurants. Don’t miss the local jewel Canneti Roadhouse Italians in Forestville. We also explored Dry Creek area only 30 mins away.

Cute home near wineries
We stayed one night in this cute,well appointed home. There was everything we needed and more. We easily could’ve stayed more nights. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were large and fully functional. Kitchen was large with anything you needed. The home was also beautifully decorated. I was warned that there was no cell service and that was true. The WiFi worked well.

Family Vacay at Simms Rest
Such a restful place to stay, beautiful and equipped for the whole family. My toddler loved the patio and her favorite Disney movie was available on the TV. Huge kitchen that multiple people used at the same time. 20-30 minute drive to the coast and down the street from the River. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. Instructions left throughout the house made it easy and host sense of humor made it fun. All drawer were labeled, and host book was thorough. We especially enjoyed making latte's in the morning! Thank you!

Modern spacious home perfectly situated for touring
A beautiful home with high ceiling, comfortable contemporary furnishings. Very detailed info made finding household items super easy. Location ideal for getting around to Sonoma coast or visiting local wineries. Best to buy groceries in Sonoma before arrival. Bring your hiking boots because Armstrong state park shouldn’t be missed!

Russian River Area Comfort and Convenience
Not our first stay at this lovely home which is impeccably clean, comfortable and thoughtfully well-stocked for short term guests. Also conveniently located near a market for supplies and major routes to all the area sights yet tucked away on a quiet side street. The one downside is that cell phones do not work from this location!! Need to use FaceTime or WhatsApp to make calls. And, the Internet service provided is fine. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Very stylish and comfortable
This place was just perfect for us, a family of 5. We felt instantly at home. The place has so much character and a great amount of attention to detail. The house set up is great - big kitchen and open living. It feels more spacious than the pictures can portray, We had everything we needed. The home is well planned out - lots of games, ping pong in the covered garage was an extra treat! The kitchen has all you need and extra! And the beds were extremely comfortable. Well done!

If you’re looking for comfort, beauty, spaciousness, and all the amenities, this is your place. So much attention to detail! The beds are comfortable, the linens are soft, the chairs are comfortable, and range from soft to supportive for everyone’s back. The kitchen is wonderfully organized and more than complete. The lighting is excellent, both natural and installed. Quiet and beautiful, it’s the best!

You'll love this place
This space is beautiful! It is thoughtfully decorated and is large enough to comfortably house multiple people. The kitchen is the heart of this home. It is equipped with everything needed to cook and entertain. I think we were most impressed by how well stocked the kitchen is with large and small items needed to prepare meals. And there were some heated battles at the ping pong table. I would definitely come back. We're thinking of making this an annual celebration at Somms Rest.

Beautiful, clean, and very comfortable stay
We had a great time staying in the property. It was very clean, the photos represent it perfectly, the beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The check in process was seamless. Overall, it felt like we were staying at the home of a friend. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, but not too far from many activities. We happened to be there during an atmospheric river weather event and lost power very briefly one night. The property manager was very helpful throughout the entire stay and checked in on us via text regularly to make sure all was well and we had flashlights, blankets, etc. We were ready, but didn’t end up needing them. I would love to stay here next time I’m in town.
