"Lovely hotel to visit, handy location, polite staff, great breakfast "

"It was a very clean, cosy room, and tastefully decorated. The hospitality tray was nicely displayed. While the bathroom (very clean and roomy) was private it is not ensuite; it required going into the hallway a short distance and up a step. Not a problem unless one needs night time visits. Luckily the light switch for the hallway was easily at hand. The staff was very friendly, very together as a unit, and the whole pub is truly local and buzzing. Surprisingly, the pub noise did not filter...

"The room was very nice, the pub is pretty, and the village is pretty. However the listing was misleading - the restaurant doesn't function midweek, and they don't do breakfast either during the week. I was walking, and didn't want to walk more miles to eat. It's not hard to provide a cold breakfast. So make sure you check whether they're doing food if it matters to you. "
