"This is a very old building, with creaky floors and slightly worn carpets - but it is very clean. My room was large, perhaps a little old fashioned, but was clean and comfortable. The windows had internal double glazing to keep out the noise and blackout curtains the light. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The breakfast served was amazing with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fresh toast (you make it yourself) and a good full english on offer. The location is perfect for exploring Shrewsbury and all the staff I encountered were friendly. Only downside - there was no bar open in the evening which would have been nice for a nightcap."

"Lovely and creative decor, friendly staff, self serve bar and nibbles, great for my mum who can’t walk upstairs very well as we stayed in a ground floor room, lovely breakfast and had pretty much every type of food you could think of. Can’t fault this place and would definitely stay again."
