Temperatures got down to -19F outside…the back of the house (two bedroom) stayed cozy; front rooms (kitchen and adjacent dining area plus living room) were much cooler but doable with heavy fleece/sweater. "Nicely remodeled bathroom with a washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets very soft. The kitchen just has a small two burner cooktop, but no microwave or full size oven. It is very well stocked with utensils, dishes, even a crock pot which came in handy. Communication with the owner was great. They even had coffee pods, although we brought our own ground coffee to used in regular coffee pot. The mural in the bedroom was very cool. Our first night there was an issue that...

"We couldn't be happier with this oasis in the wilderness. We came to birdwatch in the Sax-Zim Bog, but saw plenty of species at the feeders next to the yurt. Megan communicated clearly at every step of the process so we knew what to expect and had all of the comforts possible - including a heater in the outhouse! Do yourself a favor: leave your phone off and stay for a week."
