"B&B Ca' Viro was a truly great find. We arrived by bus (from Sondrio train station) which dropped us right outside the front door - all for the measly sum of €2 each. Our room was wonderful and better than expected. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. The grounds are a sight to see and our room was only 50 metres from a path along the river which provided some great walks. Breakfast the nect morning was amazing!! So much choice and all was wonderful. When it was time to leave, we noted that a bus was not due for quite some time, so we are asked Roberto, the manager, to call us a taxi to take us and our cases to Sondrio station. He said, "No need for a taxi - my wife is going shopping and she will drop you at the station". Not only did she drop us at the station, but it turns out she did so on her birthday!!. We cannot recommend this fabulous gem enough: the hotel and its facilities were first class and Roberto and his wife were friendly, attentive hosts who went way beyond what was expected. "Have you ever seen a beautiful postcard with a perfect shot of the mountains that you imagined yourself staying in. This is it. You can’t really appreciate the beauty of this place unless you stay here. The panoramic views of the mountains and picturesque little villages that surround you will take your breath away. The view is only equalled by the hospitality and work ethic of the host who will go over and above to insure your stay is perfect. Dinner there was delicious and they were easily willing and able to accommodate my wife’s celiac condition by offering gluten free pasta in addition to the regular menu. I will look forward to a day I might be able to come back to this little Heaven on earth. "
