"Great view. It was possible to park in the big public parking garage and walk up the stairs in the back of the garage up to the hotel (if you are in shape, otherwise take the free bus). We found this useful. Also everything you want to see and do in Taormina is easy to walk to from this location."

"I upgraded to one of the studios which was a new experience for me but I enjoyed the view, the privacy, and having access to a kitchenette where I could keep snacks and whatnot. Maybe because they were refurbishing, but I was disappointed that there wasn’t a restaurant or bar on site to get a quick breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating."

"The location, overlooking the Mediterranean sea was absolutely amazing. New Years Dinner at the hotel? Better Impossible.. but the best part of staying at the Metropole was the service, incredibly friendly, happy Staff, Kudos for Angelique and Giuseppina. Highly recommend staying at the Metropole!! "I loved this property. It was in a very beautiful location. It's not a very convenient location for walking, you need to take the taxi to get the station station and bus stop was not easy to find. The main area Piazza IX Aprile and shopping area is about 15-20min walk. Isola Bella is really far but doable about 30min walk. The hotel staff was really wonderful and helpful. Lufthansa lost our bag and we didn't get it back until the 3rd day. The staff did everything with calling the delivery guy and airport to see what they can do with speeding up process. The breakfast was delicious. Btw this was there last week before they close for the season November 8-15. "
