>No check-in instructions. I messaged and called many times over many hrs the day of before I got a response.
>Messaged about cleanliness & lights not working. Much later he messaged saying the person who takes care of that usually does a good job. Nothing was done.
>The day before checkout, a cleaning lady beat on the door asking why we were there & told us to leave that other people were coming. I told here we were booked until the next day & even showed her tin the app to try to get her to leave, but she was insistent that we needed to leave & was trying to get in. She refused to leave. I had force her out of the doorway with the door, and she continued to beat on the door. I called the owner (I thought I was going to have call the police), & he didn’t act too concerned, questioned me about the checkout date and finally said something must have been marked down wrong; the information is clearly in the app! This was a very frustrating way to spend your last afternoon. The lady was acting crazy, appeared like she may have been under the influence of something. This was frightening for my children who was wondering if the “crazy lady” was coming back. In hindsight, I regret not just calling the police. I’m glad we didn’t put the key back in the lock box as we were told to by the owner, she would’ve just came right in. I never heard anything else, not even an apology for the mixup.
