Welcome to the "Spirit of Folly", a vacation rental that embodies the long history of the Folly Beach community. This tri-plex, 2 short blocks (100 yards) to the beach and 5 blocks from restaurants, bars, and shopping, was built in the mid 20th century and renovated in 2022. The two-bedroom one bath unit has two luxurious king beds and an expansive backyard with classic old oaks providing shade. For a more spacious shower (small shower inside) use the enclosed outdoor shower behind unit C and shared by both units. Walk out the back yard for direct access to the City Park, with a playground, tennis & basketball courts, and a dog park. The unit boasts a full kitchen and multiple off-street parking spots (front and back). Please note you will need to navigate two steps down to access the property. Not enough room? Rent Unit B (listing #2847570) to double the size. Owners live upstairs.

Comfortable stay close to the beach
We had a great time. We were able to make dinner a few nights and close enough to Center street that we could walk to get a meal. It was a short walk to the beach which was perfect with two small children. We had a great time and Meg was a perfect hostess.

The property was cute and beachy and was spacious for two traveling adults. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary cooking gadgets and there was even bottled water in the fridge and popcorn for snacking. Plenty of parking and quick responses from the property manager made the whole experience effortless.

This property was perfect! Short walk to the beach. Close by all the restaurants/bars/shops. The outside shower is a really nice feature. Meg is amazing! She is very attentive to needs of her guests of the condo and lives just upstairs for quick and easy access and communication. Definitely recommend!!

What a treat!!
My stay At The Joy was such a treat! It had such a welcoming and cozy atmosphere immediately making me feel relaxed and at home. The attention to cleanliness and comfort is obvious. I really enjoyed wandering the vineyard in the misty mornings with a good cup of coffee and sipping delicious wine in the evenings by the fire.
