The Loft at the Lost Dog

This clean and airy studio is the perfect getaway for your Folly Beach vacation. Centrally located in town above the Lost Dog Cafe, this unit has many features: a galley kitchen if you have to cook, two comfortable window seats for daydreaming, dining and living area, full bath, stackable washer and dryer and large sleeping area with a king size bed. You will be surprised at how peaceful and quiet it is... Come to Folly and get lost at the Dog!
Well-behaved pet welcome with small fee.


The official check in is at 4:00 pm at which time the Lost Dog Cafe is closed. There is parking available in the Lost Dog lot and the adjacent lot. Also, you can find spots on East Indian and come in from the back. It is important to remember to always park with all four tires off the pavement and facing in the right direction. The City of Folly Beach is very active in handing out parking tickets across the entire island.

Most Perfect Stay!
The loft above The Lost Dog is absolute perfection! We loved everything about it including the location! We've never stayed at a more stocked VRBO ever. I highly recommend The Loft at The Lost Dog and would definitely stay there again!

We always enjoy our stay at the Lost Dog. It’s convenient to everything that you want to do on Folly. A short walk to the beach and all the great restaurants. But the shortest walk to the best and most popular in town, The Lost Dog!

Lost Dog is awesome!
Lost Dog was absolutely perfect! The location was ideal, the apartment was decorated beautifully (so light and cozy), the bed was very comfortable and the unit was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We definitely (hope to) plan on returning!!!

A perfect spot!
Carol’s property was absolutely terrific. It was comfortable, convenient, and located above the best breakfast spot in Folly. It truly doesn’t get any better than this loft for a weekend getaway.

Perfect vacation spot for dog owners!!
My husband and I just returned home from visiting Folly Beach with our golden retriever. We stayed at the studio above The Lost Dog Cafe and had such an amazing time. The owner was very nice and we loved being just minutes away from the public beach access, as well as, downtown. If you don't want to leave your four legged family member home when you go on vacation, Folly Beach is the place to go!

The Loft was immaculate, spacious, neat, and tidy. It was walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. I highly recommend the Lost Dog Cafe located below. The food was delicious and served by super friendly staff. This is definitely a do over!

Relax - It’s Folly!
This is the fourth year we have stayed in the loft. It is clean and comfortable and just a short walk to the beach. There’s nothing better than waking up to the smell of coffee and bacon coming from below! We will definitely be back!

Loft at Lost Dog
The loft at Lost Dog was perfect for us. We were able to enjoy the amazing food at the The Lost Dog below, It was in walking distance to everything we needed. We used the little kitchen and appreciated having one. The loft is a perfect spot to call home while on vacation, we love that it is dog friendly. We can’t wait to visit Folly again and we will definitely book again ❤️

Great Escape!
We knew this place would be great, based on our friends who had stayed here, but this property exceeded our expectations. A great space above a cool cafe, and an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Having a washer/dryer meant we didn't have to pack a lot, and always had dry bathing suits after our time in the ocean. Super easy check in, and great communication from Carol, our host.

Phenomenal Vrbo
This Vrbo is in an ideal location in Folly Beach. The studio was much bigger than we were expecting. There were also beach towels and chairs provided making our short walks to the beach so much easier. We met Carol during our stay and she was so sweet. My dog Lola is usually timid around new people and she went right up to Carol. The restaurant below the Vrbo has amazing food and the nicest staff. We absolutely loved our stay here and are already ready to book this Vrbo again!

We really enjoyed our time at this property. It is more spacious than the photos, decorated wonderfully, and well stocked. It was very clean and good location. Although located above The Lost Dog Cafe, you barely hear the restaurant below,(never an issue) I was surprised because they are busy. The bands playing at the Washout next door are more of a concern as far as noise. They do have a noise cancelling machine in the apartment. They have beach towels and chairs for your use as well. I would recommend this loft for a stay at Folly.

Great loft!
If you are looking for a getaway week-end or week, then this is the spot! Spacious, comfortable and convenient to the beach, nearby shops and restaurants. The Attic is above the Lost Dog (great for breakfast or lunch!) We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was during business hours. The loft was tidy, well equipped (linens, towels, beach chairs, washer/dryer, etc) and nicely decorated. I had a concern about parking but that was never a problem. I can’t say enough good things so I will leave it with just one word: wonderful!

Great Location - Just what I needed
Very much enjoyed my stay!!!! I was able to bring my dog with me on vacation and this was a great spot for him. Carol was super helpful when I needed extra pictures to decide if it was ok to bring him. Unit was very clean and comfortable! I really appreciated the flashlight that I could use when I took the dog out at night. Large grassy area next to the café was very convenient when taking him out for a quick break. The Café was great for breakfast and all of the staff were so friendly. The shower is VERY small but other than that it was the perfect stay! Would highly recommend!!!!

Great little spot in the heart of the town
The place is is very quaint and cozy and the location is perfect. The unit is right above the Lost Dog Cafe, which makes it super convenient for breakfast. The ad mentioned a full futon was in the unit but when we checked in, it was replaced with a couch that does not fold out. We were not made aware of this before we checked in. Other than the futon situation, the place is very nice and recommend the unit for a couple looking to have a great little get away in Folly Beach.
