This super-cool two-bedroom duplex is Folly's little hidden secret! You're going to fall in love with this dog-friendly little gem, perfect for families with children or small groups of friends. You'll be surrounded by full-time residents, tucked away from traffic, and just a quick walk to the beach. A funky little Folly-style retreat, this home features a traditional queen bedroom, a loft with a full-size bed, and a futon in the multi-purpose room! You'll also have access to a full-size washer/dryer and a full kitchen equipped with countertop appliances, plenty of cookware, a dishwasher, and ample counter space to help you prepare tonight's home-cooked meal. The living room's mounted TV is perfect for movie nights with the kids, and there is another TV in the main bedroom as well. The full-size gas grill will make an evening with friends fun and enjoyable. The home also includes a nice sun deck, an outdoor shower, and a hammock to relax in the shade. The kids will love being a hop, skip, and jump away from the beach, and afterward, everyone will enjoy winding down with the provided board games.

THINGS TO KNOW

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Fall Break
It was perfect for us and our dog. plenty of parking onsite. A nice yard area made it easy to walk the dog. Main bedroom bed was very comfortable, we did not use the upstairs bedroom. Plenty of room for a family to spread out in different rooms.

Was just what I wanted
It was a very close walk to the beach. It's about a mile to town which was perfect for me. I could walk to town if I wanted, but was far enough away that I didn't have to deal with the crowds and traffic.

Quiet location - almost zero traffic, yet easy access to the beach. I would suggest the home add a few more amenities, such as basic cleaning supplies (we had a spill and had to go get cleaner), and a few more kitchen supplies (like a cookie sheet - we had to improvise ;) ).

Great spot a few blocks from the beach
Love this area because it's much quieter than downtown. House was well kept although it's tough going up and down the spiral staircase to get to the second bed. They had 4 coffee makers but could only get one to work. Nice outdoor shower and decent wifi!

Cute, roomy, close walk to the beach… We enjoyed a fall stay at the beach bum bungalow. The house was cozy. The main coffee maker was not working, however there was a back up coffee pot to use. Lots of plants. Very close to the beach. Ample parking. A short bike ride or a walk to the lighthouse, or Folley beach restaurants. All in all a great weekend to get away nearby to Charleston!

Great location, great everything - but heads up to dog owners
This was a lovely little rental that was a very short walk to a quiet beach (quiet in March; maybe it gets busy in July but I'm certain it's never TOO bad). Anyway, my wife and I looked for a place that would allow dogs but also that was a "single building", meaning it didn't share walls with any occupied space as our dog is a wonderful animal, but a rough "before-us" upbringing left her with some real anxiety issues over things like strangers, loud noises, other dogs, etc. SO this rental seemed perfect for us. HOWEVER the main bedroom shares it's left wall with the entrance for a separate unit that you can hear people walking through every now and again - it's not super loud or anything, and if it had just been my wife and I, I would have forgotten about it already, but it definitely freaked our dog out. It's hard to tell from the photos, but there is a second door off to the left that goes to a separate apartment. And additionally, the next house over from this rental often left their dog off leash to wander around the cul-de-sac where the road dead ends, which is fine with me since no cars go there and it's essentially their front yard BUT taking our dog out for a walk became a real "okay wait...wait...okay now go!" type of thing. And of course when cul-de-sac dog saw us, she wanted to come say hi which only elicits barking and fear from our dog. Kind of a mess. I'm not interested in blaming anyone or deciding someone is at fault, I just want to let anyone with skittish or emotionally worried dogs that this rental has a couple small hiccups, but very specific ones. If your dog is friendly and likes attention (canine or otherwise) you'll be fine here.

Great vacation spot next to the beach!
This bungalow is incredibly cute and homey. It's about a 5 minute walk from the beach, and you can hear the ocean waves crashing at night. Very peaceful, very lovely!

Bigger than expected
We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of a pet friendly vacation home. The house is situated a short walkable distance to the beach on a quiet street. The outdoor shower was wonderful. The main bed was ok-we would have preferred firmer. We thought our two boys could share the loft bed but they weren’t able to sleep. We moved one to the convertible couch below but it was horribly uncomfortable with a huge hump in the middle. A day bed in its place would be a good addition. We made it work with adding a number of available blankets as padding. The kitchen is well equipped and there was plenty of space for a family of four. The rug in the living room did have an animal smell to it but otherwise the place smelled fresh. Overall I think it’s a good option for travelers on a budget and/or with pets.

Cute, clean, beachy home
Loved the decorations, brightness, and cuteness of the place. Loved the outdoor shower, especially after coming back from the beach! Just 3 blocks (short walk) from the beach. I thought the complimentary coffee was nice! I like that there was salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have little packets of sugar and creamer. I liked that there were plenty of towels and laundry detergent available if needed. Overall, good experience!

The location and proximity to the beach was exactly what we wanted.. about a 400yd walk to a nice beach area that wasn't crowded at all.. we had our ebikes also which was a huge commodity.. we rode them into town every time so neither parking or traffic was an issue.. There were quite a few people on bikes and golf carts.. There was a nice dog park a couple mins away that was perfect for us to b able to enjoy the beach and also get our dog some exercise.. dogs allowed on the beach before 10am and after 6pm.. This place is exactly what u want when u hear the words beach bungalow.. Felt nice and homey right away

Great little bungalow
We enjoyed our stay! Loved that there were some toiletries, and some cleaning supplies provided! The coffee was a nice surprise as well! Great place to stay with your pets! Also, even though there was only one bathroom my family enjoyed the outdoor shower too!

Quirky but cute
Location was nice- 2 blocks from beach though would be quite a long walk to Center Street where the restaurants are. We either drove or took the golf cart. A musty /pet odor smell permeates the unit. There is a diffuser with essential oils and candles throughout- which are helpful. If you are sensitive to smells, this likely isn’t the place for you. Also the curvy staircase doesn’t seem really sturdy leading to the loft . The sunny kitchen window and real plants everywhere are a nice touch.
