"First time bed and breakfast experience. Can I tell you, the host Nash was wonderful. We were there for a week long Cooperstown tournament at dreams park. The house is located about 20 minutes from the park but easy to get to. We ate delicious gourmet breakfast everyday compliments of the host. Delicious coffee too! I highly recommend renting the room with beautiful view, If not , you can hang out on deck. Swim, fish etc. Thank you dealrly! "

"Loved staying at David’s home. The location is perfect and the kindness and friendliness of the host was welcoming. I didn’t realize it was a shared bath but that was not a problem since I was the only one there. Perhaps I missed that in the listing. Brought back many memories for me when I lived at the lake during the summer."

The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. "Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. The pillows did not have liners in the pillow cases and were stained so we did not use them. The sheets had other people's hair on them, so we didn't use the cover sheets or blankets. "While the rooms and furnishings are very nice, the bathrooms we not cleanly or updated. The night I stayed there, the power had gone off and there was no air conditioning and the no water. This could be a nice B&B but the outdoors need to be improved. For starters, they could remove the junk water heater from the front porch."
