We were two couples that shared this two-bedroom apartment for six nights. We use it as a base station for seeing as much of Italy as possible for one week. We visited Venice, Pisa, Rome and some of the Tuscan area around Florence. Pros and cons about this property.
Pros:
Location - Located one block from central train station and city bus route stops. Just a few blocks from all tourist attractions.
Food - Super market on same block. Lots of eating places close by.
Clean - Very clean.
Security - 3" thick entry door with locking bolts similar to a bank vault door. Wall safe for securing valuables.
Space - Large rooms.
Washing machine - washing machine worked well....but no dryer.
Property manager - nice, friendly and helpful. Met us at apartment for check-in.
Check out - easy check-out.
Cons:
Elevator - very small, barely fit two people inside without luggage. Luggage had to be transported up/down four floors by itself.
AC - temperature would no go below 78 degrees.
Showers - very small, 24" x 30" size, could not turn without knocking soak dish off holder or moving water temp handle up/down, poor shower door operation.
Bath linens - No face clothes provided.
Dryer - No dryer to dry clothes washed in washing machine. Had to air dry clothes on rack, over chairs, or out windows.
Bath Room - Second bath room not attached to second bedroom. Located off living room.
Wine opener - No wine opener provided.
Coffee maker - No coffee maker like we were use to in USA. Only old percolator type.
Views - No views from windows...only the backs of other apartment buildings.
Over all...the apartment met our needs and we enjoyed our stay in Florence. However, the apartment came up short for meeting our standards for comfort, convenience and relaxation. Probably would not stay there again.
