THE BIRDHOUSE,... Quiet Country Home in the Bitterroot Valley.

Enjoy quiet days and star filled skies In this 1200 Sq Ft, two Bedroom, two bath Home. Its approximately 3 miles off the paved road in a private spacious county setting . This home is a prior Grandparents house, attached to the owners house BUT with entirely private entrances.
One large master Bedroom with a King Bed, rocking chair and a full bathroom. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, chairs and has an attached full bathroom. A large kitchen including a dishwasher, Keurig and drip coffee makers as well as everyday use amenities. Two VERY comfortable roll away beds, complete with bedding can accommodate two more individuals if needed.
The Living room Sports a Large smart screen TV, Full WIFI internet as well as a leather sectional couch with recliners and several chairs. The entire house hosts a nice collection of "museum like" glass cased Bird mounts and decor. A washer/Dryer room. A private fire pit stocked with firewood, Large spacious fields and private roads can all be enjoyed for exploring or walks.
The views of the mountains and fields as well as a great view of the dark star filled skies can be enjoyed off the elevated back deck and walkway. Comfortable chairs and a gas or charcoal grill are ready for your use.
Enjoy the QUIET....., no traffic, fantastic views, Cozy beds, a comfortable spacious floor plan are just a few of the amenities to be enjoyed.
As a notice of advice, this home is situated in the Sapphire Mountain foothills. From late October till Spring thaw an AWD or 4WD vehicle is advised. The roads are maintained and plowed as it is a residential area but a good traction vehicle is advised.

Amazing property! We enjoyed our stay immensely. Great hosts and the rental had everything you would need. A special treat: we caught the Aurora. A bit of a drive but in Montana terms it’s not too far out. You won’t be disappointed.

This was our 2nd year staying at this property and we will be booking for next year. This is the best VRBO I have ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, quiet and the hosts are exceptional. The property is one-of-a-kind... it offers beautiful views, chickens and dogs to enjoy and the opportunity to bird watch as the property hosts bird feeders just off the deck. The road in was a precursor to the great and wonderful location, so lovely.The Birdhouse is the best VRBO experience we have ever had. Super clean, overstocked kitchen, awesome shower heads, comfy furniture. But the BEST was the sunrise from the porch! Loved all the taxidermy, they are true experts in this field, very tastefully decorated. The pups were so welcoming as well and such good dogs. Thank you so much!!!

Absolutely best VRBO ever visited
Can’t say enough about the hosts, their rental or the location. By far our best Vrbo stay ! We had vehicle problems and the host offered to bring us food, offered to pick up repair parts for us in town, and even helped us fix it. They made such a point to welcome us and go out of their way for us during our visit. We 100% sincerely loved this place and cannot wait to go back.

This property is a ways from Missoula, but it’s more than worth the drive! The area is beautiful and so is the house. Very clean, excellent communication, gorgeous deck, just an amazing place to get away from it all yet be close enough to Missoula to do city things too. Highly recommend The Birdhouse!!!

I hesitate to say just how great this place is as it may become so popular that it won't be available the next time I want to stay here. We enjoyed the well appointed guest house, "The Birdhouse," with it's unique and interesting decor, the setting, and the exceptionally accommodating hosts. This VRBO is a great value. Had we known how great this place is, we would have made arrangements for a longer stay.

What an excellent property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the birdhouse. The accommodations were excellent and just as described. Every thing about this stay was perfect! The house and setting were beautiful. Eugene’s taxidermy throughput the home were incredible. The house was clean and well stocked with anything that you might need. Watching the sun rise and set over the Sapphire Mountains were highlights each day. The property was absolutely beautiful! Everything - plus some - was exactly as described. We stayed there for a couple in our party to run the Missoula Marathon so unfortunately we were all too tired/sore to enjoy walking the property but resting on the deck was great as we watched birds come into the feeders. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. We would 100% recommend!

Incredible Place-Wonderful Hosts!
The Birdhouse is a beautiful, private, extremely clean, well kept rental that we hope to return to soon. This home is such a special place, we had so much fun exploring the property and just relaxing in the beautiful setting. Hummingbirds swarmed the back porch and we loved watching them feed. Carolyn, the host was so warm and welcoming, she was kind and helpful while giving us plenty of space. We will most certainly return!
