This Beautiful Riverfront home located on the Siuslaw river is the perfect couples getaway or for that small family of four. Offering a master suite, second bedroom and bathroom along with a well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a warm fireplace and big screen TV. Enjoy stunning views through the huge picture windows, lounge in the enclosed patio to read your favorite book or just sit back and relax. Enjoy the gas grill on the rear deck grilling your favorite meal and soaking up the beautiful scenery with your favorite bottle of wine.


What’s nearby:

Moon River Cottage is only one mile from the famed old town of Florence. Downtown Bay Street includes wonderful shopping and fantastic dining options. Another mile south on Hwy 101 you can ride the famed Oregon Dunes, or drive north a few more miles and go horseback riding on the beach. World famous Sea Lion caves are also just north of Florence along with the beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The
coastal forests flourishing in Douglas Fir and Sitka Spruce extend to the Ocean.

Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to
experience the unique natural wonders of this area.

Beautiful Place on the River!
We absolutely love this house it’s so warm and inviting! We arrived and the warm glow of the fireplace started our time off so cozy. Absolutely the cleanest freshest stay we have had anywhere. All new appliances and nice furnishings. Super comfortable bed and bathrooms so beautifully done. Huge walk in shower in master was great.

Super clean house right on the river. Terrific views, perfect for 4 people. Nice kitchen, 2-car garage, so quiet. Only draw back is no walkable food options. But driving is easy!

Our annual Florence visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, once again, at this wonderful property. We love waking up to the river, the beautiful backyard and the sand dunes across the river. The house is comfortable for the 3 of us and the beds are very nice. Thank you again for the beautiful place to stay.

This is the perfect location in Florence! Quick to downtown and beaches and trails. The house is entirely remodeled and very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back again.

Peaceful Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at the Riverfront Cottage. The house was very clean and fresh, beds and bathrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The view to the Siuslaw river was spectacular and the location is quiet and peaceful. The only note I would give, is that the kitchen was lacking in a few necessities (i.e., a corkscrew, sugar), which required some extra trips to the grocery store, which was close by. We left the corkscrew behind for the next guests to enjoy! Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful gem on the Siuslaw River
Moon River Cottage was perfect for us because we are non-smoking retirees with serious pet allergies. We found the place to be close to immaculate and newly remodeled. Only glitch was communication in that we booked through VBRO but all return messages came through iTrip, which ended up in our spam file and went unseen for quite some time, making us late with paying balances due. We look forward to returning in August!

Yes, this was a beautiful home beautiful view very uncomfortable kitchen table chairs. Could not find the remote for the fireplace or how the fireplace works. The only thing I think was a problem was there was no instructions in the house itself We enjoyed the beautiful view. Everything else was excellent.

Wonderful stay-couple minor suggestions
The house appears newly remodeled, is quiet and has a wonderful view. We walked into coffee and dinner in old town. It was cold and rainy so we were a little disappointed that the fireplace unit wasn’t working (or at lease we could not find the switch or remote). The unit is a small electric one anyway. Would be a thousand fold improvement if the house had a gas fireplace. That was the only negative. Well…except there also wasn’t a cork screw for our wine but we remedied that the next day. Thanks for the stay!

Peaceful retreat for a winter getaway
The view of the river is mesmerizing. The house had everything we needed and was very well appointed. The bedrooms are small but functional. The main living areas are comfy and take advantage of the big picture windows to watch the tides change and the ducks and seals swim by. It’s close enough to town, but far enough away to be quiet and private. It’s a short drive to the expansive beach near Heceta. We hope to be back! Thank you!

We had the most delightful stay at this riverfront cottage! It was even better than described. Quiet, relaxing, with a beautiful riverfront view from the open living area and the master bedeoom. We found ourselves not wanting to leave the home! Immaculately clean and the listing was accurately listed. The kitchen was equipped with high-end appliances and pots/pans, utensils, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. Everything about the home was carefully considered for guests' comfort and convenience. And as older adults, we appreciated that the home had no entry steps or stairs for easy access. Wifi was great. Convenient to grocery and dining and for touring the central Oregon coastline. Definitely recommend this lovely home. 5++ stars!

River Sanctuary
I planned this trip for a break from work and this place provided the perfect sanctuary! Easy drive to shops and restaurants, but location on the beach was so private and peaceful, all I heard was the sound of birds and rain falling. The only downside was that I kept getting kicked off the tv when I’d try to watch something. They need to create an account for this place so renters can enjoy a show or two if they choose, but looks like the accounts are shared with owners who were using them the same time I wanted to. Otherwise this place was amazing!
