Modern Large Northwoods Lake Retreat

Welcome to the Northwoods. Beautiful Fully renovated home with all the amenities of home. This 5 bedroom, 2 bath home was completely remodeled 5 years ago. Situated on Spring Lake, enjoy sitting outside around the fire pit or or just watching the view in this serene setting. Try your luck fishing from the pier or play games on the large lawn!

In the winter, enjoy the two fire places and a large modern kitchen for cooking and family get together's. There are two living rooms with tv's so children and adults have plenty for fun.

Snowmobil trails right by the property, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, xcountry and downhill skiing, and golfing. Bring your boat and launch on the Spread Eagle Chain or Menominee River both 5?minutes away. Go swimming at Lake Antoine or Cowboy Lake , both 10 minutes away.

Ski Brûlé 60 minutes away
Pine Mountain downhill skiing and the famous Timberstone golf course (one of the best in The United States) 5 minutes away. In Norway, 15 minutes away, play at Oak Crest golf course, another great course!

We have an infrared sauna, canoe, and 2 kayaks for your use.

Wonderful stay at the cabin. Great hosts. Very quiet lake and neighborhood. Big cabin with lots of space to spread out. Nice lawn for the kids to play. No steps down to the water so if you have older folks getting to the dock is a little tough.

Great place to get away
Property is very private and the lake is shallow so no boat noises all weekend. We all had a great time and already booked for next year. Mette is a fantastic host who is very responsive.

Beautiful panoramic view of Lake Ellwood. Large open spaces on both levels for our entire family. Wonderful memories made here.

Don’t hesitate to book your stay here! Accommodations are wonderful and you will feel right at home. The ATV trail is right out your door, and the trails are so well maintained. We could not have been happier and have already booked another stay for the fall color season. Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable vacation spot!

The home has plenty of room for our families to spread out. We enjoyed the kayaking and large spaces for gathering. The bedrooms were quite spacious and we enjoyed it so much we've already booked it for next year.

A beautiful house with plenty of space and privacy, it was the perfect base for our plans in Norway and Iron Mountain. It was also an easy drive to Pat’s Foods in Florence, which is a wonderful grocery store.

Overall, I would highly recommend this house. We had a wonderful stay with 9 people. Plenty of room and beautiful lake setting. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and patio overlooking the lake and around the fire in the evening. The kids had a great time on the kayaks and canoe.

We visited with my 80 yr old mother in law. The first floor of the property was great for her as she cant really do stairs. The house had plenty of room and was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. We enjoyed the lake view and wildlife.

Quick get away to connect and relax. Great setting, comfortable accommodations, and well appointed water toys, kitchen and more. Watching the super moon rise above the lake was an added bonus. Would love to come back again anytime of year.

Nice home on a beautiful peaceful lake.
Beautiful peaceful setting. The home was large and comfortable. The only real problem we had was the fire pit was unusable, and we always pick a spot with a fire pit for our family vacations.

Family holiday
Our three adult children and their families joined my wife and I for three nights. We went skiing up at Brule mountain for two days and came back and would share a family meal and play games. The house has large areas to meet and is on a lake which makes for a beautiful setting. The owner had it decorated for Christmas. I would highly recommend this property

The Christmas Gift
We enjoyed our stay so much. The kids loved the water access. The adults and the kids loved kayaking. The large table worked great for meals and for cards later in the evening. Plenty of sleeping options for larger group.The cottage was well stocked and was nice to have the little stuff for making meals. Would recommend and would return. Thank you for sharing.

Great in the winter, probably amazing in the summer!
The property is just as described! There was enough room for 5 adults and our two labs with plenty of room to spare. We could have invited more family! We loved the huge island and large table for meals and playing games. It was decorated so nice for Christmas. Everything worked great! A lot of extras like spices, lotion, shampoo, etc. We stayed over the New Year holiday but I think it would also be an amazing place to stay in the summer.

Perfect! ! !
Our family, (children and their spouses, grand children and great grand children) stayed at this amazing house on the lake. We live 15 minutes away so we were able to spend lots of time with them. The home is VERY spacious and decorated with a flair, plenty of room for adults and children and spaces for everyone to do their own thing. It even has 2 living rooms. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Nothing was left out. The house was gorgeous and immaculatley clean. A huge yard with a fire pit, large trampoline and a patio. Lots of privacy. The kids went swimming, used the kayaks and had lots of fun on the trampoline. Everything was perfect and they all agreed they would love to return again. Thank you so much Mette for your wonderful hospitality!!

Great house; unfortunately owners items over take house. No room in kitchen or lower level
The property is beautiful. However, the place needs a deep cleaning. Hair on and under sofas. Kitchen cupboards and drawers dirty with dead bugs. Cleaned kitchen items prior to using. So clutter with owners personal items no place to unpack our own. Patio needed cleaning. My husband spent two hours cleaning so we could use grills. During a covid pandemic; I left a container of cloxax wipes hoping owners get the hint. I did message owner prior to this posting so no surprise. We rent annually; but will bypass this place next year I'm sorry to say. I'm sorry to say; first time I ever left negative feedback
