Worn down hotel with an aweful smell of cleaning detergents in the room. We could hear everything going on in the adjacent room. Some staff was very friendly and service minded, some seemed as if they couldn't care less. Nice location.

This is a budget hotel and it certainly feels like one. Booked last minute due to a change in travel plans and it was fine- no frills whatsoever. It’s very well located to all of the main sites in Florence and felt pretty safe and clean. Breakfast was simple but a good way to start the day. Street noise at night but that is to be expected due to the location. If you are looking to be in the mix and don’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room, it is a decent choice for the price.

The hotel location is absolutely 5 stars with convenient walking distance to all major attractions. But the facility is about average. For comfortable sleeping, it can be just 1 star for a room next to street- very noisy or 3 stars in a quieter room in the middle of the facility. We ere given a room with window to street, we could not sleep at all whole night with constant noises from street. The front desk staff kindly changed an inside room for us which was much quieter, had good 2 nights of sleep. In general, I think it is a kind of average as whole with 3 stars.

We loved staying at Hotel Martelli. We are actually returning customers. The amazing Florence breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room was something we enjoyed every day! The staff was very welcoming and the location was perfect! We will stay here next time we visit this great city!
