We wanted to “get away from it all” but be by a lake and the Withlacoochee bike path. This was perfect. Property is rustic but well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful lakefront and very close to the trail. Owner was friendly and helpful.

Lakefront Retreat
I would stay here again, in a heartbeat! My daughter and her husband and friends came over to visit and we all had a wonderful time. Listening to the birds, canoeing in the lake. Another time, we would use the fire pit and fireplaces - it was still a little warm for that. My family cooks together and we had everything we needed in the very well appointed kitchen! The only thing we brought in was our knife but that's a cook for you! The beds were very comfortable and it was very peaceful. I also had to work and the wifi connection was very good. The host met me at the property and gave me a tour and was very responsive. Thank you to you, Chris, and your family! See you next time!

Old Florida lake front
Truly a example of an old Florida style lake front cabin. This reminded me of a cabin we went to almost 60 years ago except great hot water shower and strong a/c. We C were there a week. While I never needed any assistance from the host we did have a couple of nice conversations

The Coffeys
The Cypress Cottage is a great relaxing get away. The history of the house, location and the house itself is relaxing and nostalgic to my childhood home inside and out. Very clean and organized. Great fishing opportunities in the pond and lake. Had a great time kayaking as well. There was something for every member of my family to do as far as entertainment. I have already referred others to this awesome place.

If you love fishing
Husband and I booked this for the Memorial Day weekend for 4 days. Love the cabin and its history and story behind it. We fished in the little cove by the cabin . Now there is lots of Lilly pads which makes it hard to fish with a lure but the best results for bass was the rubber worm, my husband caught one about the same size as one hanging on wall in cabin and I caught my biggest ever which was just under the size he caught. We both combined caught at least seven bass out of pond . And many bluegills. We released them all so there’s plenty to catch for the next person . On the bigger part of lake we caught handful of bluegill, overall we had a great time

Perfect little cabin
The cabin was perfect and had so many amenities to offer! Was very cozy and comfortable and all the extra touches to make it a perfect stay! My husband and daughter loved taking out the boat and fishing every day while I relaxed on the dock! Very peaceful and very enjoyable! Wish we had our own place like this to get away, we'll definitely love to stay here again!

Did not get the fishing we had hoped.
The cabin was very nice. Very clean and had anything you could want supplied. Chris was very nice, and even mailed us a dog toy we had left by mistake (the dog's favorite of course). And if the property had been what we saw in the pictures, all would have been great! However, you could not put a line in the pond due to the over abundance of lily pads. It was also difficult to row a boat into the larger pond due to the lily pads absolutely choking everything together. If we'd known we couldn't fish off the deck or the bank, we would have picked another option.

Best place for log cabins
If you enjoy log cabins in the aesthetic of old fashion. Then this is a place for you. It was great service, and the place was super clean. On top of that he was very quiet most of the time, and it included rowboats. , which I thought was amazing!

Vacation at the lake
The outside of the cottage was very rustic however the inside was charming. The lake access was great. The canoe and kayaks were fun. We were disappointed that we were not able to use the john boat and row boat because they both leaked. The owner was friendly and informative. My husband caught several fish
