"Very nice pub/hotel, nice log fire, lovely room’s, and big big old fashioned bath tub in the room, large bed, only drawback no television in the room.very limited lunch items available, the same with the evening menu, very small presented and very expensive steak meal,breakfast was tasty but very strange to have no marmalade offered or a refil of tea/coffee and the full english was very small. Staff were very nice"

"The room was cleaned everyday with fresh cookies next to the tean and coffee maker. The pub has certainly retained its old charm. Food was excellent. For someone from london paying less for beer was a welcome change"

"Very pleasantly surprised by our stay here, the pictures do not do it justice. Very comfy bed, fancy facilities like large very fluffy towels, very nice bathroom products, great selections of hot drinks. Only thing I would say is that if you are very tall, be careful of the low ceilings! "

"A great two day stay in Kent, mainly to go for a tour on the Balfour Winery. A nice and cosy inn in the English country side, just as it says on the tin. We will be back for more exploring in the future I am sure. "

"It was comfortable & room quiet after a long drive. service was reasonable considering the staff were stretched during an afternoon party. People were generally pleasant and did well. Pity no food on offer on a Sunday night but since it was a central location there was plenty on offer locally."

"Loved our stay at The Gallivant and would definitely visit again! Due to the location of the hotel I think this is definitely more of a seasonal hotel, however this didn’t impact my opinion of it, the service was great, room was lovely and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was incredible! My only complaint is that they don’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, we were told that we could go to the bar for these however, they charge for them on your bill at the end of the stay which...
