"Nice hotel with a good restaurant. The restaurant was crowded and loud but the food was great. Jazz band at the bar was a plus! We stayed in the “historic” part of the hotel. The room was large and very nice - however the walls were very thin and we could hear “everything” going on in the room next to us."

Being a historic inn, I went in with the expectation that it would be low frills, which is was. But for the price, I think it's a great option for anyone staying in the Newtown area who wants historic charm and to be in the walkable State Street area. "

There were no lights in the entry and there was an sunken entry to the room we nearly fell into the room. There were remains from the previous logger including dirty glasses and trash.
