Fall Getaway
Loved our stay in Fleetwood! Such a gorgeous cabin and property. We enjoyed the gas fireplace at night with the cooler weather. The only thing that might have made our stay better would be more lighting by the hot tub as the string lights were not working. Otherwise would highly recommend this cabin and would love to stay again in the future!

Good but not great
Overall the stay was nice. We enjoy the Boone area and this cabin was close to all the places we enjoy visiting. The cabin was nice with a pool table that we used every day. Access to the stream was not as quick and easy as thought and we never made it down. Privacy at the stream was next to none as a house sits on the other side of the stream. There was dirt on the floors, sticks on the porch, and we saw several big black ants running around inside. All that said with the understanding the cabin is in the woods and certain aspects of the woods find their way into any house. Overall, a good stay, but not a great stay.

Disappointed
There are two railroad ties used as steps down to the walkway and they are not level. There is no handrail and that makes it unsafe when going up or down the steps. The fire pit on the front porch did not work. The gas stove fireplace in the living room did not work. You could not use the remote control to turn the tv on and off. You had to turn it on and off on the tv which was on the mantel and too high for me to reach. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The split unit on the main level heated the kitchen but the living room was cold. There is a space heater for the main bathroom. The bed on the main level made noise every time we moved and was not comfortable. The dryer was missing the knob for selecting the setting for permanent press, towels, and delicates. There were two pool sticks, but only one was usable. The other pool stick had the tip broken off. There wasn’t a path down to the stream from the house. We were very disappointed in the accommodations!

New Family Tradition
In 2018 we came into your beautiful cabin with my son and my husband children. In 2020 we got married and unfortunately I lost my only child to a drunk driver,he was 26yo. I have been searching to find this cabin after my son's passing to remember him while we were there. I finally found it and We decided from this year forward to come back year after year in memory of my son and to start a new family tradition. In Your cabin was the first time our kids met in 2018 and we became a family. Everyone loved your beautiful cabin, the creek, the firepit. Everything about it is cozy, private, clean and great costomer services. Sherri is a wonderful manager. Thank you for letting us make your cabin our second home and remembering my son Sherman. God bless

The perfect getaway
My husband and I had the best time staying at this cabin. We try to make a cabin trip every fall in this area, and this was one of the best overall experiences from start to finish. Its close enough to stores yet provides privacy. We also had our dog who loved playing by the water and all the amazing trails near by. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Amazing Cabin
It was super clean and peaceful. Had an amazing stay. I am BAD with directions. The only issue I had was locating the property. GPS took me 2 different places before we found it using the directions in the summary. Not anything the property owner can do anything about, just beware, and be sure to use the directions included when you book!

Lovely
The property is beautiful. Great location. The propane fire place on the porch starts but does not stay lit, the igniter for the grill does not work so bring a lighter. The fire pit next to the creek is very comfortable. There is a house right across the creek so not very private. It’s a steep walk down to the fire fit but for younger adults it’s not a problem. Check in progress very easy. The house has everything you need. I would definitely visit New River brewery. Food, craft drinks, people are great.

Wonderful stay at Autumn Mist
We loved our stay at Autumn Mist. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful trees which were great for winding down. It was remote, yet convenient to stores when needed and a nice drive to Boone. The property manager was pleasant to work with. We hope to stay here again soon and highly recommend this cabin.

We will definitely be back!
Autumn Mist is fantastic! The cabin is cozy and nice. It is kind of close to Blueridge Parkway, but not close enough for the road noise to be overbearing. It was perfect for the two. I think that 4 people would be fine, but more than that would probably be too many. All the beds felt comfy. There are smart TVs in the main floor bedroom and living room and basement. There are full bathrooms on the main and basement levels. The water pressure is variable, but it is not weak. The HVAC is two split units that do a great job keeping it cozy. The gas stove in the living room worked very well. I think I had it too cranked up, so it cut off automatically and I didn’t bother restarting the pilot. The gas table on the patio would fire up, but I couldn’t keep it lit. The driveway is circular and private, with a chain over both entrances that you take down and put up. We did this each time we left and returned, so it was easier with two people, but not impossible for one. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped, but bring a chef’s knife with you if you plan to cook the whole time. The dishwasher is loud and takes a while to run a cycle, so plan on running it a few hours before you go to bed on the night before you check out. Bring ground coffee. There were extras of trash bags, paper towels, and coffee filters. We did not try the grill out, but the grill is new and big. The hot tub fits 6 adults easily. It got up to 103 F, which is plenty hot for me. There is also a high table and chairs on the deck near the tub. The basement has a nice pool table and cues. It also has a foosball table and a couch and chair. The firepit is nice and right next to the water. We forgot to bring flashlights but picked up a few for $1 each at Dollar General in West Jefferson. Firewood isn’t included. Like I said, we will definitely be back!

Great little getaway
This cabin had everything we were looking for. The kids really enjoyed the pool table, the creek next to the cabin and we took nighttime nature walk up the road from the cabin. Great location to Jefferson mountain where we climbed and to the old barn winery for us adults. We even got a little snow the last morning we were there!!! This is a great place for small families or a getaway for just adults. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this amazing place.

Couples Weekend
Upon arriving about an hour before my husband and I, our friends had connected the internet, the started fire place and started the heat. They had to call to get some help but it seemed to be an easy process. The place was clean and very cute. We were not successful at using the grill but did use the outdoor fireplace and the hot tub. It is on a nice river but it was too cold for us to use the fire pit down by the river. We were close to the little town of West Jefferson and we spent the day exploring. I requested a later check out and we were able to check out at noon. :)
