Amazing Secluded cottage under huge trees, on a working Ranch.
Secluded and serene, Gosling's Nest was originally a cowboy bunkhouse with a hand dug well and an outhouse. Though the well and outhouse are still standing, today's amenities have been gloriously surpassed with your comfort in mind. Soak your work day worries away in a gorgeous two person tub overlooking the towering Oaks or curl up with a good book in a king size bed with luxurious linens. Goslings Nest has a full kitchen with a classic 1940's chamber Stove or use the propane grill outside. Gosling's nest Cottage has beautiful views out any of it's windows. Cattle, horses, llamas and alpaca freely roam on ranch. On clear nights you can star gaze with no city lights around. Deer, wild turkeys, road runners, bob cats , wild hogs and coyote can be seen by guests.

Loved the proximity to Shiner as we did the Shiner Run! It was very quiet and great weather. We left windows open all day/night and didn’t even need to run the AC. Definitely appreciated the heaters in the bathroom, and the tub was amazing to soak in after the run. Katheryn was an amazing hostess!

Beautiful and serene getaway. Thoroughly soaked in the vibe. Wonderful host we saw upon arrival and departure. If you want to just relax and work on a favorite hobby this is for you. This will be my “go to” for doing nothing but escaping and enjoying nature!
Can't say enough good about this property & our stay there! In a word: perfection! The Geesaman's are wonderful hosts, & Ms Kathryn was friendly & attentive to our needs.
It is more peaceful out on this property than you can imagine, & the cottage is adorably decorated! If you're looking to relax & get away from civilization for a spell...this is your place! We absolutely, thoroughly, enjoyed our stay!
The pictures do not do this property justice. The bunkhouse is in the middle of a cow pasture on a large ranch. The scenery is spectacular and the freedom to walk the entire ranch is really special. You can get lost in fields of bluebonnets and sit by one of several ponds and daydream the time away. Magnificent ancient live oaks surround the yard. The bunkhouse itself is quaint and charming but could stand a bit of an update in the kitchen and bath areas to better serve its guests. I would stay here again.
It was nearly effortless booking the cottage, and everything was perfect. Kathryn is a great communicator and host, making us feel very welcome. The cottage was very clean, well appointed, had everything we needed and more! Great hospitality.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The grounds of the ranch are simply beautiful and the cottage is comfortable and welcoming. Thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers really illustrated Kathryn’s passion for hosting and her Guests! This is a perfect space for a couple that is seeking a quiet and beautiful setting, it’s impeccably clean and very welcoming. We would love to return!
Lovely property. Wish that we could have stayed longer. We can’t wait to come back. The cottage has everything that you need and the owner could not have been more helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gosling Nest. Kathryn was the perfect hostess she had everything we could need in the cottage including plenty of towels so that we never needed to call her for anything but we knew she was only a phone call away if we did. It was a very relaxing, unplugged from the world time we needed to celebrate our anniversary. Kathryn if we could give more than 5 stars we would and we will be back! Enrique and Sandra
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, serene property for our 24th anniversary. It was exactly what we were looking for and we enjoyed our time there so very much. Kathryn was delightful and lent us a copy of a dvd of the Painted Churches. We lived our self-guided driving tour of the gorgeous old churches built by Czech and German immigrants in the 1800’s. Our stay in the great old cowboy cottage was perfect!

Nice, secluded, cozy.
The weather turned cold unexpectedly when we arrived, but the house has a fireplace heater that heated the home wonderfully. Hearing the wind in the trees through the night adds to the peaceful feel of the place.

Very quite and peaceful.
Gosling's nest ranch cottage was just what we wanted. We both have stressful jobs and just wanted to get away. The owner met us at the gate and showed us the land and then took us to the cottage and help us get settled in. She told us we have the run of the ranch and if we need something she was just a call away. Then she said they would leave us alone. This was a great place. Cottage was very clean and organized. It is just the right size. There was at least 3 ponds on the property that had fish in them if you want to fish. The Oak trees around the cottage were huge. They are estimated to be around 400 to 500 years old. Me and my wife loved it. Jerry and Sheryl Bearden 03/11/2017
