The Bear's Den of Flagstaff + Private Hot Tub

Come enjoy the Bear’s Den, a chalet style a frame log cabin that was built two stories above the garage. The cabin is nestled high in the pines and centrally located on the outskirts of Flagstaff right in the middle of it all! There are fun things to do and places to see no matter which direction you go! This cabin has a huge loft area above with both a king and a queen sized bed with a beautiful view of Pumphouse Wash right outside the window. The main floor features a full kitchen, living room with a gas fireplace, bathroom, and second bedroom.

The loft has a cozy reading area while the main floor has a large balcony deck right out the sliding glass door from the living room that over looks Pumphouse Wash. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the deck watching the sun rise and maybe even wildlife also enjoying their breakfast!

The bedroom on the main floor features a log frame bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom and twin on top.

Several amenities are included with your stay at The Bear’s Den. These include a stone gas fireplace, full kitchen, heated tile floor in the bathroom, outdoor gas log fire pit, gas outdoor grill, and a large private 8 person hot tub right outside your door! Very quiet and cozy. 1-2 parking spaces. Max of 2 dogs under 50# each are allowed with a $50 pet fee, please add that fee at the time of booking.

The Bear’s Den is conveniently located to all of the Flagstaff area attractions. Within 30-60 minutes you can visit Sedona, Snow Bowl Ski Resort, Bearizona, Oak Creek Canyon, Williams (Grand Canyon Railway), Lake Mary, Meteor Crater, Lowell Observatory, and downtown Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon south rim is a little over an hour away. Phoenix is less than 2 hours south. We are also less than 10 minutes drive to Pullium Airport in Flagstaff. Rental cars are available at the airport or we can set up arrangements for pickup or drop off. There is a second cabin on site that is completely private from this cabin as we have built a partition wall in the back. The back of the cabin is completely private but there are back neighbors about 200 yards away, despite this the cabin is still cozy, serene, and private

Great Place to Stay When Visiting Flagstaff
We traveled up from Phoenix to escape the heat from the "Valley of the Sun"! We were so fortunate to discover this gem just minutes outside of Flagstaff. The check-in process was smooth as silk, and the host was second to none! The cabin was exactly as pictured and described. The accommodations met all our needs and then some. We were able to enjoy our planned activities during the day, and then return to the cabin for a relaxing evening. We especially loved the firepit and took advantage of star gazing while munching on S'mores! If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of staying in the city and long for a cabin nestled in the pines, this is the place for you and your family!

Snow Globe Weekend
The property was excellent . Beautiful interior. Loft was incredible. Big Bathroom . Heated BR floors were a bonus for sure! The hot tub was fantastic!Plenty coffee, cocoa and wine ! We were blessed with record snowfall so the already beautiful view was like we were in a snow globe . Short drive to Snowbowl and Flagstaff We will definitely return!

Inviting and Quiet Retreat
My husband and I arrived just at check-in. You could smell the cleanliness of the property. The dogs loved it as well. It was quiet, peaceful, and a cozy environment. We had such a wonderful stay and the owners were attentive with any questions. Could not ask for better accommodations. A++++++++ and would love to give 10 stars.

We loved the amenities and hot tub! The railing did not seem very secure, FYI. The owners communicated very well. I wish the big bed was downstairs next to the bathroom. The listing showed a regular coffee maker in the photo but it had a Keurig so we brought the wrong kind of coffee.

Not what I expected
The location of the home was perfect for day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. As others said, it was cozy and I liked the decorative touches. That said it could really use some detail work and a deep cleaning. There was an unusual smell that we couldn’t place so we kept the windows open. There was popcorn left in the machine which we cleaned out. For the price, and the high ratings, I was expecting something nicer and cleaner. The outside area was quite dirty and full of cobwebs. With the owners living very close next door, I would have expected it to be clean upon arrival. They seem like a lovely family but this listing was not what I expected. There was a note offering to help with our laundry if needed but the machine was broken which wasn’t ideal for us since we are on a cross country trip. It wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker but I would have liked to know ahead of time that the machine was broken and that the families home was so close.

Weekend getaway
We had a lovely weekend stay at the Bear's Den! The patio is a quiet and peaceful place to read a book or hang out by the fire pit. The jacuzzi was a highlight- it is new, clean and a great way to relax! The cabin itself was beautiful and I really appreciated the cute fall decoration. Thank you for creating a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a weekend away!

Absolutely Perfect! Highly Recommend!
Booked this home for our trip out to Arizona to celebrate my husband's birthday. We planned to do quite a bit within the days that we were there, so I booked this home in Flagstaff hoping that it would be a nice central location and boy am I glad that I picked this place! Not only were the homeowners extremely nice and easy to communicate with, but the location was superb! We were able to go down to Sedona one day and then up to the Grand Canyon the next. Plus the home is only a 15 minute drive up to Flagstaff so we were able to get groceries easily and drive up to Flagstaff for dinner one night. The home was super cute, very clean, and very well stocked. We had everything we needed! And we loved getting to relax in the hot tub at night when it got a little chilly. If we get a chance to stay here again, we would! Thank you Russell Family!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s in a great location, in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. The house is clean and comfortable. Beds were really comfy. The hot tub is awesome. There’s also a grill and gas fire pit. It had everything we needed, and extras like coffee and wine were a great touch! We would definitely stay here again if in the area, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Comfortable and cozy
Pros: Fantastic responsiveness when minor issues arose, comfortable beds, great hot tub, nice kitchen which was large enough to allow multiple people to move around, awesome trees Cons: The cabin had a plug in air freshener, the soaps and even the trash bags were scented, so for the people with asthma/sensitivities it was a bit of a mine field. Neither pro nor con, really, just informational: No coffee maker, but there is a Keurig (I realize that many would list this under pros, but we regretted not bringing a french press) Would stay again and make minor adjustments knowing what we know now,!
