This was such a cool place to stay. It’s off the beaten path, without a whole lot to do but enjoy your surroundings, which is exactly what my friend and I were looking for. The journey there involves driving through an old fishing town, and crossing beautiful old causeways surrounded by the Chesapeake and salt marshes. It was a window into such a unique and special little section of our country , with a culture of it’s own. The place it’s self was charming and equipped with all our basic needs. If you are a duck hunter, you will be particularly charmed by the decor as the place is a former hunting lodge, and maybe even still serves as one during hunting season. Peggy sweetly made sure we were welcomed upon arrival, and prepared a hearty and delicious breakfast in the morning. For the most part, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, while Peggy provided the perfect balance of privacy and hospitality
