Personally, we go to the cottage to enjoy the Okanagan and its range of outdoor activities. The cottage is great and there are a lot of activities at the resort, but we also like to tour around the Okanagan and the cottage is our base camp for all that the Okanagan has to offer. Silver Star Mountain is 60 minutes away and is a year round playground featuring a Mountain Bike park, Hiking, Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow-shoeing in the winter. Activities in the Okanagan range from zip lining, paintball, biking (family oriented, road biking, and mountain biking), hiking, and bungee jumping.

Oh yea, there is also Lake Okanagan which is incredible to paddleboard, kayak, swim, and boat in and there is a special dog beach so your pet is sure to enjoy the water as well - it gets so hot in the Okanagan. Fun Lake Weekend
Our small group had a great time at Garnet’s place. La Casa is convenient for access to the lake and far enough from town that you feel like you’re away. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped!

Great Stay Great Location
This cottage made for a nice stay. We liked the front deck w lake view and the green space beside us. It’s in a good location on a quieter street and close to the trail to walk down to the beach. The cottage was plenty big enough for our family of four. Kitchen was well supplied, extra propane for bbq, and it was clean. This was the first time staying at La Casa. We loved it. The amenities are fantastic. We plan to return next year.

Beautiful view
The stay was good. It was sad that in the evening we could not watch TV as it was broken. As a family we like to watch movies, as we are not a fame type family. The house was nice. It looked like other animals had peed on the rugs. I actually went and bought carpet cleaner to try and remove the stains. My biggest issue was that there was no TV. And second the carpets could have been clean. As a nurse I like my space clean.

Great location with amazing views. The only issue we had was cleanliness - many of the cooking utensils seemed dirty, towels / cushion covers in the washer and small bugs on the covers of all the beds. From previous reviews this seems a one-off and shouldn’t stop you booking!!

A lil Getaway
Spectacular views. Many available amenities. The house was perfect for our family. Couple discrepancies: First— there was not enought hot water for 6 people. In fact after 3 people showered, we had to wait 30-45 min. Secondly- there were no instructions for trash disposal. Lastly- cooking dishes were in terrible condition. Needs updated!

Great stay
This was fun get-away for our group. It is remote so don't plan on any "quick trips" to town - but you have everything you need at the cottage anyway. We spent our days between the lake and the pool - lake was the preference with the trampoline docks. Overall a great experience, though it quickly ended with an evacuation due to the fires.

La Casa Resort
Wonderful property, the perfect place for us, our 3 grand kids and their parents. The kids enjoyed the green space directly beside the property every day. The property was very well stocked with everything we could possibly need for a weeks worth of cooking meals. The only slight negative was how spread out everything is which forced us to pack up the car and drive everywhere.

Idyllic location, super quiet
Exactly as advertised this is a lovely three bedroom home looking out over the lake. It is on a high quality resort with all the facilities you could want. We had a lovely time. The one thing I would improve, and this is not a criticism, Is installation of curtains in the upper windows, as we were woken around 4 am each day by bright sunlight streaming in.

Excellent view and nice having 3 bedrooms. My wife would have liked a fire table but it does have a barbecue and nice deck with view. Not a reflection on the owner as he doesn’t live there but cleaners need to do a much better job. Saw one at Neighbour’s house that wasn’t there very long? Overall a good experience!

My recommendation is bring your own towels, bedsheets, toilet paper and lysol. There was dog fur on the ground. Dirty and wet dishes in the cupboard. There was 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. I had to clean the washer and and the lint in the dryer which was disgusting. The property is beautiful. The walk to beach is pretty far but worth it. Around the property there are nice people. Only thing that disappointed us was the cleanliness of the place.

Family Vacation
Overall our experience was good, beautiful view and location. The cottage definitely requires a good cleaning. The vents were covered in layers of thick, sticky dust as were the tops of the lights (easily seen from the loft looking down). Also, there were only a few small hand towels not suitable in size for drying off after a shower or bath. It would be a nice touch for the owner to have some small items in the bathroom such as travel sized shampoo and bath soap. Also, there was no laundry soap (just an empty container).

Surprise Can't Drink the Water
No communication with owner of problems with water system which was subject to a boil water order that was on for at least 3 weeks prior, they were aware of and no offer of compensation and even they avoided calling back. The lack of concern is beyond belief. What if we had a baby and had to make formula and did not see the sign. We discovered when we arrived and saw the sign in the entrance which I missed but my daughter and wife noticed when they arrived a few minutes later. With her animals there was no alternative. On day of arrival we had to go back out to purchase water. Not sure why a house with a boil water order was not communicated as its not in the listing. Explains why communications were non-existent, no instructions on departure as they had no care to follow up with me. My daughter had to shower in town a half hour away to avoid any issues as she is a Neo-natologists who handles premature infants and the could not take the risk of Giardia or Crypto Sporidium infection being passed to her patients. Nice location, but rent at your risk. If any problems, they won't own up to it or even warn you. My only regret is that I should have complained to VRBO but my family did not want to further disrupt our vacation.

Comfortable stay with a great view
Staying at La Casa is a fun family vacation. This unit is in a great area with the perfect view. Spacious and lots of room for a small family and is well-equipped with the basics to minimize having to bring anything in your travels. We appreciate the short walk or drive to the pool or beach and the safe friendly community area. The host is great for communication and questions which we really appreciated. Great high speed internet for streaming TV or connecting for work. Overall, the pro's would be the location, comfort, and experience at La Casa overall. Some things to note which could have been even better would be: knowing that for the mini golf you need to bring your own clubs and balls, our unit did not have these available. Though we've stayed here before over the years, there is some noticeable (and normal) visible wear and aging of the furnishings and it could also use a deep clean. Previous occupants had smoked in the unit and we came into a heavy stale cigarette smell, which was a bit off-putting and bothered our allergies.

Had a nice stay!
First of all….the view from the deck is everything. We spent many hours sitting out there enjoying the sunshine and the lake. It was unobstructed and amazing. I’ll start with the deck. It was nice and big and fully enclosed and was very nice for our dog. He also enjoyed sitting out and taking in the sunshine bad views. Be careful with the chairs as the legs just nicely fit into the cracks and you can end up with a leg falling through. No injuries just comical. The umbrella is quite torn up so we didn’t end up using it, it could use a replacement. The bbq is well maintained and works well. In the house our stay was fine. The beds were quite comfy. The house was moderately cleaned but more detail could be paid to cleaning the vaulted ceilings and higher up window sills. There is also some maintenance that could be done on the house. However none of this impacted our stay, just an observation. All in all the house had everything we needed, and if it didn’t, the host made sure it was dropped off to us right away. The property isn’t super far from west Kelowna but if you plan on spending a lot of time in west Kelowna, Kelowna, Peachland or summer land (like we did) it ends up being a lot of planning and driving. It’s about 20-25 minutes to west Kelowna. This was the only major downside for me as the driving took away quite a bit of time from our days. The resort is all hills and stairs so not very inclusive for mobility challenged people (keep that in mind). The pool was nice to enjoy and the pizza from the restaurant was good. However the cantina and restaurant are only open Thursday to Sunday. There is also no public dock that I could find which was challenging on the last day that we didn’t have a boat slip. So there was nowhere to drop people off from the boat or pick them up. There should be something available for people who launch their boat for the day and don’t have a rented boat slip. I would recommend this property for a family who will spend most of their time here enjoying the amenities, lake (with a rented slip for their boat). And people who will do lots of cooking at the rental. If you want to be in town for dinners, touring around etc then maybe try to find something closer. The place was nice and the host was great.
