I loved hearing the flowing river in the mornings and evenings. Our host, the Rowlands was easily accessible and responsive within minutes. Just an incredible slice of paradise. We will be back!"

"Very cute cabin in small town. Really enjoyed the short distance to the james river where we were able to fish and float. Lots of restaurants and stores near by to get extra supplies we needed. "

"Cool cabin, peaceful and quiet. Very basic items were provided. Bring your own kitchen and bath items, like baking dish, spices, cooking oil, condiments, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc. Washer and dryer in the bathroom was convenient. You have to hand wash dishes since no dishwasher. Trout in the pond are used to being fed with fish food rather than hunting for natural food. Lol. Saw couple turkeys and couple deer around the pond. Lots of birds and squirrels."

"A couple friends and I went fishing on the upper James and rented the River's Bend cabin. What a fabulous place! The cabin was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a 3-day getaway. There are beautiful views of the river from the multi-level back deck and the screened in porch overlooking the mountains was a great spot for a nap or evening cocktail.
