"A really nice, boutique hotel, but reception staff on arrival were not friendly, unsmiling and were unhelpful. As wine professionals, we wanted to taste some tank samples of unfinished wine in the bar. The staff wanted to charge us €15 corkage per bottle, even though we were not going to drink these wines. We would have bought a bottle to drink after the professional tasting. Having stayed here for so many years, I was really disappointed with the reception."

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"This is a lovely and charming cottage in the setting of the farms and vineyards of the Loire Valley. The cottage was beautifully restored with rustic beams, a nice kitchen, and a spiral staircase leading to the bedroom with two comfortable beds and skylights.
