Traditional Stone Built Villa with Private Pool and Big Garden

KayaGarden is situated in the valley of Kayakoy near Fethiye, Oludeniz and Hisaronu. It has a private pool and a big garden with beautiful sights to the surrounding hills and close to the open air museum. The villa is partially renovated in 2024 and originally built in 2004 completely in harmony with its environment. Kayagarden is located in the lively and tourist center with restaurants, terraces, small shops and other small-scale lodges and campsites. You can find the remains of the Lycian period, the rare birds and plants, the mystic places, the delicious food and the friendly Turkish people and hospitality. The green hilly coastline, the Turquoise blue water, the numerous islands, the bays with beautiful beaches and the high mountains are a feast for the eyes.

What you see is not what you get.
Ideally located next to Gunaysgarden and Izela’s Restaurant and within very close walking distance to the village , it’s also very close to some sort of camping ground owned and habited by back packing tree dweller types that have no regards for any one’s peace and quiet. The poolside parasols were broken there was litter peppered in the flower beds as well as some kind of pool cleaning machine. The pool has had a makeover since our last visit in 2019, gone is the blue tiles and the stainless steel steps allowing safe access in and out of the pool replaced by some very unsafe steps and without any form of handrail. The plastic grate covering the channel around the perimeter of the pool is badly damaged. Huge structural cracks that run most noticeably through the very small bedroom walls have still not been rectified albeit these were raised by me in 2019. There are items of damaged furniture in the kitchen and master bedroom. The pillows and mattresses are of very poor quality. A double bed has been shoe horned into a very small space and is totally unsuitable to be called a double. There is a huge gap at the back of the kitchen worktop and filled with mastic. This villa seems neglected and unloved. We will return to Kayakoy next year but not to this villa.

Great holiday home
Very clean and tidy property with everything needed for the stay. Bread, milk, biscuits, cheese and biscuits ready which was a lovely greating. Loads of pans, a tin opener etc everything needed for general cooking which i personally found is rare. Pool was a great size for a family, not too big or small for the 6, 12 and 13 year old. Fresh towels every few days too which was great. Id say the only slight downside was the German shepheard barking most mornings which was next door. I'd say other than that it was perfect! Thanks again for a great week

Amazing Villa, stunning gardens, peaceful trip and great restaurants on your doorstep
Thank you for having us at the villa. I stayed with my Partner and two children aged 7 & 2. The garden was stunning with walls all around for peace of mind and was never overlooked. The pictures even though great didnt do it justice. We were worried about the pool with our 2 year old but bought an inflatable life jacket from the shop on the corner. Our son, 7, learned to swim in your pool within 2 days and by the end of the trip he considered himself "professional". Housekeeping were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend but we are so glad we hired a car as its fairly remote. (If you are into sight seeing) if you are happy to ge the bus etc then you will probably manage but we had a lot of freedom that way.

Kaya Garden - a wonderful choice
Having been visitors to Kayakoy for the last 14 years we have stayed in many different villas. This one was as we'd expected and seen on the website. The layout was a bit confusing and we didn't feel that it flowed quite well but we laughed about trying to find the bathroom and ending up halfway to a bedroom! We didn't use the lounge area at all as the weather was very kind to us in the first week of October. The beds were comfortable and sleep was easy (especially after some local beer and wine!) We did think that the BBQ area could have been much closer to the house and that was the reason we didn't use it. Trecking everything to the far end of the spacious garden was a no no for us. The village was a 5 minute walk away and the villa although next door to a restaurant and self catering rooms was extremely quiet. We had an issue with the internet in the first couple of days which was a bit annoying especially since we were reliant on the restaurant manager to solve it. We were able to log on to their internet. We felt that the pool could have been cleaned more often than it was but it wasn't a big issue for us as we usually went to the beach. All in all a lovely holiday and we would definitely book to stay there again. Roll on next year - and hope we've seen the end of Covid-19 !

Perfect in every way
This lovely villa is exactly as described. Very well furnished, equipped and immaculately clean. Nothing was too much trouble for Marieke and thanks to her we had an amazing holiday. On arrival we found that previous guests had damaged the toaster and valve on the shower. Once reported to Marieke these issues were dealt with within hours. Thank you Marieke. We would have no hesitation recommending this villa and look forward to returning soon.

Loved everything about this villa
We had the best time. The villa was amazing very tranquil in a beautiful setting. The staff were so kind and could not do enough for you. You had the facilities if the complex next door which was amazing... we have stayed in a number of villas in Turkey and this goes down as one of the best.

La posizione è centrale con a fianco un camping di musicisti, musica assordante la sera, a 5 metri dalla camera principale ci sono due cani che infastidiscono a vari orari, la casa in sé è carina ma vecchia con diverse cose che non vanno, la nota positiva è la piscina, molto carina, esperienza negativa I write what I write because I have lived, I strongly do not recommend the house for those in search of relaxation and disconnection. The location is central with a musicians' campsite next to it, deafening music in the evening, 5 meters from the main room there are two dogs that annoy you at various times, the house itself is nice but old with several things wrong, note positive is the swimming pool, very pretty, negative experience

I write to give directions to the other guests, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and unplug it is not the ideal place, next door there is a campsite that hosts a community of musicians, Imma leave the rest to you, the house is old but nice, needs maintenance, however in essence the price is not worth the ratio.
