Enjoy the best of both worlds - the seclusion of Polar Peak Lodges nestled among the tall pines while the convenience of ski-in accommodation. This mountainside town home is beautifully appointed, and has a well equipped granite kitchen ideal for large families.

The town home works extremely well for two families. Parents can enjoy privacy upstairs (3 bedrooms - master has queen bed with ensuite and walk-in; 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have king and double beds respectively, all decorated with True North pine furniture). The entertainment unit on the main floor features a flat screen TV, DVD and stereo. The lower level is great for the kids, with 2 sets of single bunks, a full private bathroom, and separate entertainment area with fireplace.

Overall great stay! Easy ski in, and about a 10-15 mins walk to timber chair. Hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing! Beds were comfortable. Richard responded quickly to emails.

Great location and good communication with the owner. Other than crapppy ski weather (obviously out of their control) we had a blast. The hot tub was very nice after a day on the slopes.

Amazing!
Although the weather didn’t cooperate for the entire stay the place was amazing and very comfortable for a group of 7 friends. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to cook for a large group and the bed arrangements worked very well. Appreciated the easy check in and all the amenities the place had to offer.

Great Stay
Great stay at Richards property, a perfect spot for two families of four. Very comfortable and clean. Location was good, definitely a ski in but not a ski out. A good 8 minute walk from the property to the lifts so we would drive up our skis and then walk in from there making it easier for the kids.

Fantastic Fernie Mountain Experience
Great condo. Just as advertised. Well appointed. Great location. Hot tub was not clean when we checked in but that was quickly resolved. Lots of room for everyone so never felt crowded even with 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Would gladly stay here again!

Jan Ski Stay
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. The listing was very accurate and the house was well stocked. We were able to walk to several restaurants and one night got delivery from a pizza place in Fernie. The location was great for us and we were able to ski right up to the house. Lots of room and amenities to accommodate six skiers for six days. Really appreciated the convenience of ski out and short walk to hillside amenities, hot tub, and laundry facility. Everything was clean and ready on arrival. The Owner was super proactive and responsive throughout. An easy recommendation.

The place is just as advertised and very comfortable. Just enough entertainment in the house and in a great location. If I could give the location a 4.5 star I would, only as a piece of advice if you have small children... bring a sled! The hike up to the lift is a little far for tiny legs (our kids were 3 and 5) the walk would have drained most of their skiing energy. It was fine for the adults.

Fernie Ski Trip at Polar Peak
Our trip was with a group of eight adults for a ski weekend before the busy Christmas season. The Polar Peak townhouse was a perfect location and lay out for our group. Its big enough that everyone can have their own space but cozy enough to all sit together and have dinner and relax after a big ski day. The hill is within 5 minutes walking distance and I imagine pretty awesome to ski out to. As the snow conditions were not the best, we did not have the luxury to ski out but I hope to be back when there is a bit better snow! Richard is very organized and very prompt at replying. He even checked in when we got there to make sure we were finding everything adequate - a very nice touch. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to a friend or family! Thank you so much for having us!

Fabulous multi family rental
We rented this condo from Richard over the Christmas break and it was a fantastic experience! Right from the beginning Richard was great to deal with through e-mail and even called when we first got there to make sure everything was good. There were 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 4 kids staying in the condo and there was more than enough room for everyone. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the basement which had everything they needed and the adults enjoyed the main level where there was plenty of room to relax. The huge windows were also very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was very well stocked with dishes, utensils, storage containers for leftovers and lots of different spices for cooking. I was very happy with everything that was provided. The upstairs had plenty of space for everyone and the bedrooms were larger than I was expecting. Loved having the hot tub right outside the basement door after a great day of skiing! We loved the ski-in route through the trees that we took to get home but the walk up the hill to the ski lifts was a bit long for the younger kids. We have stayed at several VRBO rentals over the years and this has been one of the best!! It was like a home away from home, the location was great and the owner really cares about your experience!

Thanksgiving Getaway
For Thanksgiving this year, we were going to be a small family group, so we decided to go away for the long weekend. We had never been to Fernie but had heard wonderful things about the community. In the winter, it is well-known for its world-class skiing conditions, and in the warmer months, there are plenty of other outdoor activities. Being a mere 3 hour drive from Calgary, it is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. We were in touch via email with Richard, the owner of the townhouse. He always gracious and prompt with his email replies. Clearly, he is very organized and makes sure that the guests to his townhouse are satisfied. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us -- it rained most of the weekend. But the wet weather allowed us to take advantage of the townhouse's many amenities. We enjoyed relaxing activities such as reading, watching one of the two TV's, playing boardgames (we brought those from home), cooking, playing on the foosball table, and lounging in the good-sized hot tub. The unit is superbly equipped. The kitchen contains all modern appliances and is stocked with all the plates, utensils, pots, etc. that one might need. The bedrooms are roomy with comfortable mattresses and fine bedding. The many bathrooms are large and have plenty of towels. The whole townhouse was spotlessly clean. It is located in beautiful, peaceful surroundings on the ski hill with gorgeous views in every direction. We ventured down the hill to the Fernie townsite a few times. We had a fantastic meal at The Curry Bowl; did some shopping at Le Grand Fromage, Big Bang Bagels, Beanpod Chocolates, among other shops; and, even enjoyed a fine Thanksgiving dinner at Max at the Park Place Lodge. One day, the weather cleared and we were able to go for a brief hike along the pathways near Island Lake Lodge. The scenery and autumn colours were stunning. Overall, it was a really nice weekend getaway, and we look forward to when we can return to Fernie for another visit. I would definitely stay at this townhouse again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! Thanks again, Richard, for allowing us to stay at your unit.
