We loved the location, have stayed here before multiple times. It’s a lot more run down than I remember. But still a convenient place to go to town for awesome restaurants and close to the hill to hit the highway early and get to the lifts. Just didn’t love that a few things weren’t working… especially the sauna.

Great access to ski hill and fernie/family. Generally nice property. Love outoor hot tub and breakfast-big reason we stay there. Room was decent, but the extra blankets were old. Bathroom toilet was very visibly dirty inside bowl, unhygenic. Never cleaned properly for what looked like months. Reported to staff. They took $20 off of a $900 bill. Would still stay there again as extremely convenient.

Stanford Resort is a great and affordable option for staying near Fernie. As someone with experience in the Hospitality industry, I was pleased by the friendliness of the staff and overall cleanliness of the property. A few things to note were while the room and hotel were very clean, we did have to ask for some soap for our room. Not a big deal, but a quick room check post-cleaning might be a good idea. Additionally, the hotel might want a few new luggage carts. Our room was in the basement and coming off the mountain we had a lot of ski gear to bring in and dry out. One cart was having trouble with the wheels and the other we tried had difficulty moving as well. It was especially difficult to get them in and out of the elevator. All in all, the hotel was great, the staff was friendly and I would stay here again next time I find myself in Fernie.
