"The purpose of our visit was to attend the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau is an easy run from Poligny and definitely a place worth exploring. Beautiful countryside and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Gite was comfortable and we enjoyed meals outside in the courtyard under the beautiful ash tree. "We found the house was a comfortable base for our stay visiting Paris for the Olympic Games. It is conveniently located only about 15 minutes drive from Tournan-en Brie which is on two RER lines which take you into the centre of Paris in 30-45 minutes. The house is well equipped and stayed cool during some very hot weather. The welcome was friendly and efficient giving us all the information we needed. "We stayed 3 nights at this cozy place, which was calm, quiet, and peaceful. The unit is in a garden setting. The fragrant linden tree was in flower, and the red current bushes were full of edible berries. We had access to trail bikes, which we used to explore the countryside. The hosts were very kind and attentive."
