"This cabin did not disappoint! Everything was sparkling clean. Host was phenomenal! There is no water in the cabin she was kind enough to bring us a jug to last us until the morning. There is misquote hanging things on the trees. They worked great. We had barley any bite. It was a very relaxing weekend. We will definitely be booking again! "

"What a delight! Had a good balance of creature comforts(hear/shelter/hot tub/sauna/showers) and true camping(detached outhouse/no running water). 2 things I’d suggest is limiting the amount of scent on the linens and having a small guide to local hiking/store options. We had a blast!"

"The cabin was quaint and perfect for our family. The lake was perfect. We loved taking the pontoon out to the “sandbar” area and wooden floating dock on the National Park land. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone. The only negative was there were two squeaky beds that could be repaired."

"We stayed here for our kids ski camp, location was perfect. We loved seeing the hill and hearing the snow guns across the street. The chalet suited our needs but is older. If you have mobility issues this might not be the place for you as it requires steep steps to get into. Didn’t bother us but something to note. Bedrooms are small with little storage and living area is small. We loved the wood fireplace and extra blankets. "

"Butternut Lake is a little slice of heaven. The house was clean, equipped, and plenty of space for our family. All my questions were quickly answered before or during the stay. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and swimming daily. Great hiking and biking were also close by. We appreciated the fish cleaning station so we could enjoy our catch for dinner. Great quiet get away to unplug and enjoy the Northwoods."
