"The outside of the property was beautifully built. However, as soon as we walked in the house was musty and smelled like mildew. This could be remedied by turning on the A/C and would have been fine, but we also had issues with the upstairs A/C. The A/C in the master bedroom kept turning off and would not remain on. We even had condensation from the A/C dripping down the walls and making puddles on the ground. There are three showers and you aren't able to shower more than 1 person at a time...

"Beautiful villa!! The host met us upon arrival, they responded promptly to requests, and even set up transportation for us. The villa was clean and basic necessities like towels, cooking necessities, paper towels, water, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner were all provided. We would definitely return. Location was also close to shops and restaurants. Rooftop was beautiful and pool was clean. "

"Fabulous house with every amenity including 5 motor scooters and 3 bikes. Spread out so even 14 of us had more than ample space. Close to the beach although this was far too rocky and un available for swimming. But, we wet to nearby beaches instead. "We had a large group and chose Casa Vida for the bedrooms, large living room & rooftop area. All the rooms were as described and the pictures were accurate. It’s a really nice place. A/C worked well and hosts were very attentive to all our needs. We had several places to eat quality food within a 5 minute walk, including a market. There’s also a grocery store not too far away. I’d recommend staying here if you’re looking at places around this area."

"All the reviews do not do this house justice. It is stunning! All the rooms are beautifully decorated and have gorgeous showers and baths. The living area is open and the kitchen well stocked. "The is in Veleta which is just outside of Tulum it is close to the road that head to the Tulum hotel zone and is about a mile from Avenida Tulum-the main road through Tulum. The roads surrounding it were mostly dirt and that can make for a mess when it rains. I like the place. I would go again. The host, team, and crew are really friendly and incredibly helpful."

"This place was great for a group! We had 12 which was a good size, although it can fit many more. We didn't have anyone upstairs since those rooms don't have AC but the AC worked very well in the downstairs bedrooms. Just a note, make sure to close your doors or else lots of mosquitos come in! "I would highly recommend this property for your stay in Tulum. It’s perfectly located in a safe neighborhood close to excellent restaurants. The house itself is spacious with all the amenities you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Jean Francois and his concierge team were more than accommodating and supplied us with lots of recommendations. Communication was excellent. We even did a tequila tasting at the house that was informative and fun! "

"We had a really nice stay at the secret garden. However, the property seems like it may have had better days in the past. The kitchens were pretty minimally equipped with many small bits not working (a broken toaster, non-functional stove lighters, broken refrigerator shelves, etc.). However, Lily, the property manager, was sweet and very responsive and dealt with every issue we had. There were issues, though: the electricity was off for part of the property when we arrived, the hot water didn't...

"The owner, Jesse, was incredibly proactive with sharing info ahead of time and responsive when the need arose. I really appreciated him!! As others have mentioned, the house caretakers Chucho and Chari are incredible. Highly recommend eating all meals at the house! The decor and layout of the house are just gorgeous and we enjoyed all the decks and palapas. My only important tip is that if you are there in the Fall (like we were) the road to the house is very challenging. We saw multiple cars...

"This hotel is very modern and new. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Balcony pool was great on a very hot and humid day. We were saddened by the properties perimeter as there was a lot of construction debris from what appears to have been thrown off the building during construction."

"Fantastic property, location and staff! Rustic, glamping style hotel in a perfect location with its own private little cove/beach, a fantastic restaurant that serves both Mexican, and other, cuisine, and a great staff ready to accomodate…A place where you can truly relax in the perfect spot right on the beach, in rooms with thatched roofs and some with private outdoor bathrooms (shower under the stars), away from the sterile pretentiousness of Playa Del Carmen and the zona Hotelera in Tulum, a true place where relaxing on your personal cabana by the waves just takes you away from the hustle and bustle. Just be ready to glamp it a bit…"

Gem in Tulum

"Naala seem new and mixes modern and contemporary with a local flare with lots of wood. The hotel is really nice with an awesome rooftop restaurant and pool; these are great places to unwind in the evenings. It's next to convenience stores and walking distance to many restaurants. Rooms are comfortable with cloud soft mattresses. The two bedroom was well appointed with all furniture and appliances. Great location. Bikes available (at a rental cost) for a quick ride. It's a bit of a distance to the beach and other attractions but there's a lovely Selecto Chedrauri couple blocks down. "
