While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. "Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this property during our four night stay in Portree. Perfect location to explore many areas on the Isle Of Skye. Very convenient to restaurants, cafes and shops in the center of town. Nice walks around Portree as well. Clean, quiet and comfortable. There are stairs to the apartment but we knew this ahead of time. The only reason we are not rating five stars is because we had trouble checking in. We were not familiar with the heating...

"Amazing! The house is so cozy, beautifully laid out and well appointed. Great mattresses, towels, water pressure, etc. But really it's the incredible views from every single window (green rolling hills dotted with white sheep and the ocean out in the distance) and being along the path to Brother's Point that makes this place so special. We stayed in 3 rentals during our UK trip and this was by far the best and we all wish we had booked it for longer. We certainly hope to be back some day! One...

"Overall we had a good experience and were thankful for all the little extras like firewood, oil and vinegar, foil and film wrap, salt and pepper, tea bags and sugar. We loved the mattress in the cottage and the Internet was working great despite the really bad storm we had this week. However a few improvements are needed for us to come back: the toilet seat is wobbly. The faucets in the bathroom are not making it easy to rince your mouth after you brush your teeth. The faucet in the kitchen sink...

"Can’t say enough nice things about the apartment and the owners. Convenient to everything we wanted to see and getting around choices are abundant. There is a car hire service close by (our choice) but there is also local bus service as well as a taxi service that has tours. Plus Citibus has a stop there. As far as the owners, we lost our keys and after a quick call and a few pints at a local pub, they met us with a new key.That is first class. We couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else"
