The room was a little small but clean. The woman at the desk was very pleasant. Very nice size fridge. Overall, we had a nice stay.

good value for the money
The price was resonable considering most other motels raised their prices because a state track meet and holiday weekend occured during our stay. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was the fact that a lot of broken or unused furniture was sitting outside between the buildings and was where we had to walk by to get to our room and could see from our window.
Upon arriving, sheets were dirty & slept in. Shower clogged & slow to drain. Towels stained & hard. Bathroom floor was not swept. When I went to office, it was locked & no one was around to talk to. Stayed for 2 nights. In the middle of 2nd night, battery in smoke alarm was low & beeped the rest of the night. Again, office locked & no one around. No way to get in touch with anyone. Worst hotel I was ever in. I want a refund!!
dead bugs in bathroom and windowsills..mirrors and windows so streaked with dirt you can hardly see out of them. stained and pitted sink, shower curtain badly stained, smoke alarm disconnected, cobwebs on the curtains and walls. raised the price when we checked in over the quote that included all taxes. did not empty all garbage cans . Will never go back, would have been better to sleep in car!!!
Very hard to find, The name on the big sign is Rite Spot, with a small sign that said Scotch Inn.
The rooms are very small, the inter net comes & gos, Had to call for missing wash cloths, there was a very noisy privet party untill 2:30 am that they did nothing about.
The only good thing is the coast & there is a nice litle resterunt acrose the street.
Would not stay there again.

Everything we needed
As this room was only needed to provide us with a place to sleep and clean up after touring the Gettysburg Battlefield, we were well pleased. The room was very clean and everything worked just fine except the refrigerator which just needed defrosted and worked fine afterwards.
The room was neither as spacious a\or nice as the ones pictured in their internet site. Small, cramped, poorly lit. Had to ask for things like towels and coffee makings. Will never stay there again
The cleanliness was horrible. We only stayed 30 minutes before we decided to go find another hotel.
I'm pretty sure the hotel had bed bugs because my friend was itching his legs soon after arriving.

Not too bad hotel
This hotel was not bad in a pinch. Small smelly rooms and the air conditioner was not very good. No breakfast or even coffee. (pot in the room left something to be desired). Staff was nice but not much of it. Room was fairly clean but didn't look like it had been used in a while and needed a touch up.
Will definitely recommend to others and will use again
Room was small, but otherwise was a very nice stay. Very clean, very comfortable, had a refrigerator. Staff were very concerned with my happiness and comfort. Very friendly. For a traveler needing a nice place to rest for an overnight, this hotel was perfect. I would stay again and will recommend to others.
I was disappointed in the overall stay at this motel. The motel had an oder that resembled car air freshners and mold. When I turned down the comforter there was food spilled on it, the management changed the comforter. I was very glad to leave the motel in the morning. I would rate this mote as 1/2 star.
room smelled like mothballs. Bathroom hot water in sink did not work. and toilet took over 30 minutes to fill after flushing. But upon checking in they upgraded our room from queen to king because it was are anniverary. We only sleep in our room as we spent our time in Gettsburg.
The reason I booked this hotel was because it was rated a 4 out of 5. The internet picture showes a diferent hotel that what it actually is. Whe we checked into the room the smoke alarm was going off every couple of minutes. When I went to the office to report this their response was to take out the battery, which I stated was illegal. It was then that I told them that we would not stay and I [...]was told I would have to pay for at least one nights stay. I feel this was wrong and would like my money back,Respectfully,James D. This hotel is actually called The Rite spot.....I stayed for 3 days the first night never got under covers just changed into pjs and covered up with my sweatshirt the next nite after showering did get under covers had few bites then ended up with over 60 bedbug bites and had to go to the hospital at 2 in the morning

small but affordable
I stayed at the Scottish in Fayetteville P.A. which was about 20 miles from downtown Gettysburg on route 30. It was convienient. The host was cordial. I would recommended this place if your looking to spend less then a week otherwise go in town and stay at Bestwestern or the Days Inn etc. All it is a place to sleep because for other activities you need to go into town. They have a pizza place in the plaza so if your looking for something else to eat head to town
